Sankey even said during an interview last year that they do not deny or approve the request to hire a coach. All they can do is submit their strong opinion on the candidate. With that said, I'm sure their "opinion" includes some kind of passive threat to sway the school into falling in line.

Somethings up. Freeze is light years better than all the other coaches hired this year imo. Very odd how Auburn, TN, or even Vandy didn’t go after him.

I agree. There are plenty of qualified coaches out there. Most SEC schools have the cash to get whoever they want. Why take a chance with his reputation?

There are still people who want him back and it blows my mind

Agreed, wish we could bury all these Freeze threads

There was plenty of stuff that didn't exactly make the newspapers. It was worse than the official story. Worse even than the water cooler stories. It was bad.

Yeah when we went 5-7 in Freeze last year the rumors really started going around Oxford. I think a lot of people knew Freeze had issues but looked past it because he was winning. If any AD wants to hire Freeze they should just call Keith Carter and ask him about everything the university found on Freeze. He’s a time bomb that can go off any moment.

I think the biggest lesson learned from Freeze is where there is smoke there is fire!

Now if there was other stuff that was actually illegal then yeah, don't take him back.

He was buying prostitutes for recruits. Some of whom were minors. He could easily be cooling it in Federal prison on a sex trafficking charge right now.
And that's probably the most illegal thing he did. But it's not the most morally reprehensible.
He will coach again at a high level. But he has to behave for a long stretch first. And he'll be very very lucky that he gets back to coaching at all. It could have gotten a lot worse for him.

You simply do not know what you're talking about. This happens to be a subject that I know more about than you do.
