For sure. He’s incredibly reliable. I’d just like to see him put on a little more muscle for his size.

The drop against Georgia was his first dropped pass in two years.

Was that the play where he nearly got split in two?

That is correct.

Hard to even call that a drop.

For some reason I thought I saw somewhere that he was a redshirt Junior

Same here. I swear ESPN had him listed as a RS JR but our beat guys keep saying we need a LT for next season since pounds is out of eligibility. He only played 5 games his first season.

frick this. Pay the guys who will win games. quote: let the kiffins overpay for the stars and watch that ship sink. That ship is what got us to the CFP and one game from the national championship. “Mississippi made” and getting guys who “want to be at Ole Miss” is some Matt Luke shite that lead to us being mediocre at best for 60 years. If Pete’s culture is to get guys who are loyal to Ole Miss and love Mississippi, then we are fricked beyond belief.
Your thought process is surface level. Two things can be true at the same time. Nowhere did I say you recruit just Mississippi guys. But you can find good recruits who love football that WANT to be at Ole Miss instead of chasing a 5 star who couldn’t give two shits about the school and doesn’t give two shits about fitting in. He wants his paycheck, bottom line.

Maybe you’ve never played sports at a higher level…team chemistry and culture are everything to success.

This go out and buy the best roster doesn’t mean shite if they don’t want to be there. Look at LSU for proof. I also think Ole Miss fans are kidding themselves to think we can go dollar for dollar with the LSU’s and Alabama’s. We can’t, but we can find those players who want to be here that are good enough to beat the best of them.

It was a backup QB that came from Ferris State and a rb that was buried on Missouri's depth chart that got us one game from the national championship. Outside of Kutas and Princewill, most of our transfers last year were not the guys you have to overpay for. I don't want the "Mississippi made" motto back, but I also want guys who don't look at it like I'm only going there if they pay me way more than anyone else. That's what got Auburn in trouble. Once you have guys who are there solely for a paycheck, it's even to give up on the season once one or two things go wrong

Man, the SECr isn’t going to be worth posting on for the next few years. What a shitshow.

Absolute shitshow. If they do worse than like 8-4 next year it'll be Chernobyl level toxic

Read that he’s a solid returner as well.

Yeah I think he's being brought in as a return specialist with an opportunity to prove he deserves to be in the WR rotation. With 105 scholarship limit now I think we'll see more and more "specialists"

Except we literally have been multiple times over the past 15 years. We had top 10 and top 5 high school classes under Freeze. In the portal era we have had the number 1 portal class twice and been top 5 every other time. This isn’t the 90s and 00s anymore. We have the boosters and money to hang with them.

And I hate to tell you this but other than a select few instances, nobody is going to want to come to Ole Miss because they WANT to come to Ole Miss for the culture and everything. They care about the money they will get paid and the staff coaching them. The school means frick all.

If a 3 star says “I love Ole Miss and I’ve always wanted to go there and I’ll never leave” while a 5 star says “yeah I’ll come for the money but I might leave every offseason unless you pay me more” then I’m taking the 5 stars. Kiffin has the personality that gets players like that to buy in and play together. I believe Pete has that too. Having a bunch of 3 stars who love Ole Miss isn’t going to win anything meaningful.
That is what Mississippi State is and you see how it’s working out for them.

I also think we need to recruit transfer kids who are as old as possible - basically senior or RS senior. There's a massive difference in having a 23 year old line up v. a 19 year old kid. Just look at Indiana (I know Indiana does more than just that - but that's their base model and it's been proven incredibly effective).

I know TD is an LSU site but the SECR has always been very diverse for the SEC as a whole. It's morphed into an LSU board and it's insufferable. You can post something about baseball and there will be 5 LSU fans immediately infiltrate your thread and claim you are crying about Kiffin. I've found myself going on there less and less. The site is going to die if they keep it up. There's been hardly any conversation on there not Kiffin centered since about October.

Completely agree. I’ve been posting on this site for damn near 20 years, and I promise I’ve seen some shite on here over the years, but Kiffin-to-LSU has taken the trolling and flaming to a level I’m not sure I’ve seen before.

Got where i only focus on this sub forum of the SECr now. Cause it has gone toxic with LK at LSU.. Its going drive all fans from all other fan bases away from SECrant if not don't get under control..

I’m convinced chicken will shut the site down after a bad loss next season.

They are acting like he’s gonna go 100-0 at LSU and we all know he’s a choke artist.
