On the bright side, we didn't have a reliable pitcher in the starting rotation to start last year. Diamond sucked, McDaniel sucked, and Gaddis was average.

The good thing is we have time to figure things out this year like we did last year. Worked out then. Let's hope we have another Hunter Elliot and Delucia on the roster this year.

Still the bottom of the 5th only down 2. We will be alright. I trust our coaching staff to get the pitching figured out, but if they don’t we will still be a tournament team I feel like.

Our bats are getting embarrassed by a team from the shite Ten conference. Guys need to wake up.

I used to get all stirred up over individual games, even ones early in the season. Last year officially taught me; however, there’s no sense in getting concerned until it’s over, you are done and other teams are still playing. A baseball season is so damn long and you are going to look like shite plenty nights.

I'm not too worried. I will say this though. This is probably the 10th best team we will play this year so they better figure it out the rest of this weekend.

They’re a top 15 team regardless of the conference. It’s baseball. We will lose some games we aren’t supposed to and win some we shouldn’t.

I think not having our ace hurt our confidence a little too. Hopefully the bats bounce back tomorrow

They aren't top 15 good. USF smacked their ace around last weekend that is currently shutting us down.

Oh well you can’t win em all. We should definitely be beating them, especially at home, but with Elliott being out and it only being the 5th game of the year I’m not getting worked up about it. They are a good team though and winning this series could be very good for hosting chances (provided we actually make the tourney, of course)

I just want to see more from our bats. We are much more talented than their bats. I thought our pitching was good tonight outside of Vera. He ain't ready yet so he should be no where near a close game.

Just watched the highlights. Savacool was pretty filthy. He’s gonna dominate some Big Ten lineups this season. Bianco’s interview makes me feel a lot better about Elliot. If they were shutting him down he would’ve come out and said it.

Uhh, the Terps are real good. They were a game away from Omaha last year.

That pitcher was phenomenal last night - Savacool. His 2-seamer was eating us up. I think we only had 3 balls hit to the outfield. However, we did hit a lot of hard grounders. Just keep swinging. It'll be aight.

We are objectively not more talented than their bats. Have you seen the video game numbers their entire roster had?

But, we didn't do ourselves any favors with the free passes.

He tweaked his right leg after hitting a dinger against Arkansas State. Who knows.

The same things that bit us in 17 - 19 bit us last night. We do not, maybe we cannot, work a count, except for Justin Bench. We are consistently behind in the count and let starters have low pitch counts, unless of course we are just roping them.

We have got to be more patient at the plate. It's been like this for years.

to be fair their numbers are because they play on a field smaller than my high school. They’re still good, but the numbers are a little deceiving
