We report tickets sold

Apparently we’ve sold the stadium out for the year. Can’t buy any tickets from the Ole Miss website outside of GA.

With the way Dougherty can sling it when he is "on," he has got to be our one of our go-to guys out of the bullpen.

I would like to see us limit the free passes today. 11 BB in two games is too many.

Rivas on the mound today. Obviously a pretty big step up from d2 but looks to be a great pitcher. From the OM website:
quote:

Posted a career 2.81 ERA with a 10-1 record and 157 strikeouts over two seasons at Indianapolis… Put together one of the best seasons in Indianapolis history in 2022, posting a record of 7-0 with an ERA of 2.24, 128 strikeouts, and four complete games… Named D2CCA First Team All-American, Midwest Region Pitcher of the Year, and First Team All-Midwest Region in 2022… Named ABCA/Rawlings Second Team All-American, Midwest Region Pitcher of the Year, and First Team All-Midwest Region in 2022… Named to the 2022 NCBWA All-America Second Team and All-Midwest Region First Team… Named the 2022 GLVC Pitcher of the Year… Set the second-highest Indianapolis single-season strikeout record with 128 in 2022… His 0.98 WHIP in 2022 was the lowest by an Indianapolis pitcher since 2016

He won’t pitch a complete game today but really nice to see that we have a guy that can go the distance and give the pen a rest at times

Pitching seems pretty consistent so far this weekend. I know it's week 1 and only Delaware, but this looks hopeful.

Our lineup is filthy

You have someone like Chatagnier batting 9th who can easily get to double digit home runs for the year.

There is no easy out

We look really good this year. Better than last year. Next weekends matchup against Maryland should be a good early test.

I’m optimistic but it’s hard to tell how good we really are against Delaware. Our Saturday and Sunday starters are my biggest worry

Let’s not get ahead of ourselves… its Delaware

All you can evaluate, in games like this, is “did you handle it like you’re supposed to” and we absolutely are

The transfers and freshmen are looking promising so that’s a really good sign that this won’t be a “just Delaware” type phenomenon

We are still walking way too many batters. Gotta clean that up quick.

The band field construction was announced to the athletic department like, two weeks ago… and the houses behind the trees can be seen now and are white

So they had to fix it under impossibly short notice… a permanent fix is being planned I believe

Bianco will address the Hunter Elliot arm situation after the game tonight. But they're saying they've done an MRI and nothing jumped out at them.

Aesthetic I know, but I'm liking the blue outline for the red "M" on the mound

Anyone know if Calarco is injured? He was taken out early Sunday and isn't in the lineup today.
