Why the frick are we even playing AT Jacksonville State as defending national champs?

Eh I don’t mind us playing there. They’re a smaller school, and just pulled their 9th highest attendance ever on a cold Tuesday night in March. Regardless of us being national champs or not, it’s nice to see smaller schools get to play those high ranked games at home (and win, although I would’ve preferred them to beat a different top 3 team).
Plus aren’t the schedules made like a couple years before?

I’d imagine it was logistical as it gets us a road game and they can zip on up to Nashville on the way back
Not sure if they even came back to Oxford since it’s spring break anyway

Them Jack State baws were hitting the ball all night from the third inning on. It didn't matter who we ran out there.

It was a good wake up call before SEC play kicks off. Can’t sleepwalk through any games. Especially on the road.

This is actually a great series to start with. Vandy is extremely average offensively. If we can do more of what we just did in the last inning I like our chances.
