Doesn't matter if we go 12-0 or 0-12, the outcome remains the same.

5-7 hopefully worse so we can get rid of Luke ASAP

(B) your prediction for Jordan Ta’Amu’s TDs/INTs;

2/1

Breaks ankle in TTU opening game, out for the season.

Burn Matt Corral's red shirt.

(C) Your prediction for how many receiving yards the great AJ Brown will have;

50 Yards

Tears ACL in opener against TTU. Ironically on the same play that Jordan Ta'Amu is injured.

(D) Your prediction for who will be our leading rusher and approximately how many yards he will run for;

D'Vaughn Pennamon with 600 yards. Roughly 1000 yards of forward progress negated by 400 yards of negative plays.

(E) Your prediction of how many times our defense will hold an opponent to 24 or less points in a game;

Twice.

(G) Your prediction for the WAOM loss of the season, and explain how said WAOM loss happens.

I'll just break down how the season goes.

TTU

- Jordan Ta'Amu and AJ Brown both injured on a designed quarterback run on the goal line in the first quarter.

- Ole Miss gives up a 38 point lead in the fourth quarter after Matt Luke benches the starters on both Offense and Defense and never brings them back in.

Final Score: Loss 58-38 (0-1)

---

Southern IL

- Team/Coach morale improves from previous devastating 4th quarter implosion after Ole Miss comes back to beat Southern IL despite trailing by 21 points at half time.

- A passionate post-game locker room speech is leaked by media showing Matt Luke preparing his team to play against Alabama stating that 'instead of playing for hate, we should play for our love of Ole Miss'. Fan base is indifferent.

Final Score: Win 34 - 32 (1-1)

---

Alabama

- After a slow start in the first two minutes of the game. The Alabama machine comes alive following a scoop-and-score during a bungled hand-off attempt between Matt Corral and DK Buford. Announcers cream themselves over Alabama's first defensive TD of the season.

- Literally everyone in the Alabama depth chart plays significant minutes.

- Alabama breaks CFB record for # of blocked field goals in a single game.

- DK Metcalf is injured after slipping on a pom-pom while running out of bounds. Injury appears not serious.

Final Score Loss 71 - 19 (1-2)

---

Kent State

- Ole Miss's defense holds Kent State to only 21 points and wins on a clock-expiring 4th down 52 yard field goal.

- Both offensive and defensive coordinators are suspiciously missing.

Final Score Win 23-21 (2-2)

---

LSU

- Matt Luke fires both coordinators and brings in Chris Cutcliffe and Lee Harris as the new offensive and defensive coordinators.

- Shoot out game culminating in a shocking interception (first of the season) that results in a touchdown for Ole Miss after LSU was poised to put the game completely out of reach.

- Matt Luke receives a five year extension and raise to bring his salary up to Freeze's last year. Ole Miss media predicts a turnaround based on the competitive play in the game.

Final Score Win 43-41 (3-2) * Finally broke .500.

---

LA-Monroe

- DK Metcalf (Despite still being sidelined due to Alabama injury scare) and Greg Little are both injured on the sideline in the 4th quarter during a celebration when the LA-Monroe running back fumbles the football out of bounds on the last play of the last drive of the game.

- Completely scoreless game goes into overtime. Overtime field goal is blocked by LA-Monroe and ran back for a touchdown.

- All 12 LA-Monroe fans attempt to tear down the goal posts after rushing the field before eventually being dispersed by Cobra security.

Final Score: Loss 6 - 0 (3-3) * Back to .500

---

Arkansas

- Best defensive game by Ole Miss's defense but Ole Miss's offense fails to produce, predictably. Despite committing 11 turnovers, Arkansas comes back to win after Ole Miss fumbles the kick-off return in the fourth quarter.

Final Score: Loss 7 - 6 (3-4)

---

Auburn

- Alabama Part 2

Final Score: Loss 71 - 3 (3-5)

---

South Carolina:

- Game amazingly is scoreless until after half-time. Receiving the opening kickoff of the half, Ole Miss fumbles the football for a Gamecock touchdown.

Final Score: Loss 42 - 14 (3-6) * But Grove has record attendance. The party is won.

---

Texas A&M

- Both teams entering the game with one conference win (Texas A&M over Mississippi State). The game comes down to the last drive but Texas A&M ultimately wins after Ole Miss's quarterback runs out of the back of his own end zone causing a safety.

Final Score: Loss 32 - 24 (3-7)

---

Vanderbilt

- Five defensive players are injured throughout the second half. Gabe Angel and Eric Swinney are brought in on defense due to lack of depth. This actually stops Vanderbilt's constant offensive advances.

- Despite only needing a field goal to tie the game, Ole Miss loses after a clock-expiring 4th down touchdown play to win is overturned because Ole Miss had 19 players on the field, 15 lined up and 4 running off at the time of the snap. This is after a timeout. The penalty knocked Ole Miss out of field goal range and the next play results in an interception and Matt Corral is injured.

Final Score: Loss 54 - 51 (3-8)

---

Mississippi State

- Freezing rain is pouring down in Oxford. The night's "Are you ready?" is brought by Hugh Freeze standing in front of Bryant Denny stadium. "Year Of The Fan" is yelled on loop by the narrator of The Season throughout the stadium PA system until the jumbotron ultimately shorts out five minutes into the first quarter.

- The tied game is suspended in the first quarter due to a rodent outbreak in the suites holding the recruits and their families and then canceled completely after a tornado warning in the third quarter.

- NCAA rules the game as canceled, indefinitely. The canceled game gives Mississippi State a 10-1(1) record for the season, placing them below Alabama 11-1 who actually lost to Mississippi State.

Final Score: Unknown (3-8 (1))

- Alabama goes to the SECCG where they play Georgia before advancing to the CFB where they beat Michigan before losing to Dave Doeren's NC State in the national championship game.

Dave Doeren wins "Coach of the Year" and becomes the newest hottest commodity in college football. ESPN spends the entire immediate off-season airing "What-If" segments on "What if Ole Miss had hired Dave Doeren". Shea Patterson wins the Heisman trophy in a breakout year and Moorehead is voted as "SEC Coach of the Year" while Mississippi State pulls in the #1 recruiting class and Disney opens their much anticipated Frozen-themed Waterpark in the newest "Fastest Growing City in America", Starkville.

Enjoyed reading your predictions, but I think you held back on the aTm game. Let me try.

Nursing an 8-point lead with 30 seconds remaining on his own 42 yard line, Matt Luke instructs Matt Corral to run back to the end zone and allow a safety. Corral does a great job of eating the clock, but 1 second remains. Texas A&M returns the ensuing kick for a TD, and with the extra point, pulls out a 25-24 win. WAOM

If Luke gameplans around Tam'aum running the ball, everyone in the stadium should walk out.

Matt Corral ain't ready.

(G) Your prediction for the WAOM loss of the season, and explain how said WAOM loss happens.
This answer should always be Arkansas. We will have a small lead in 4th, and Arky will then control the clock and ball until scoring with only a few seconds left to seal the game. The biggest WAOM moment will still be realizing Luke ain’t leaving this year. They will give him a pass.

Even though I know he’s trying hard to recruit under these circumstances, we can’t lie to ourselves guys, the team and fans deserve better. I’m not gonna give him crap right now, but we deserve better than some home cooking. We can just hope that when his time is up is that he doesn’t leave us with complete crap for the next guy.

Here’s to having fun anyway it goes, because our true fans will be happy just to see them on the field again and watching some football.

No reason to not root for every guy on the team because they chose to put that jersey on. They deserve us as fans, to step up and get behind them. Don’t have to be happy with the coach to want to see the guys get better and have fun while they are going at it every game. We could have easily seen a huge mass exodus last year, but for the ones who didn’t turn their back and the ones who signed anyway, deserve our support.

aTm on the road. Lose in the last drive of the game, when AJ drops a TD pass in the end zone on a slant route.

Get excited! Foosball season is just around the corner!
Alabama, Auburn and aTm are the only losses.
Alabama wins by 9.
Auburn wins by 8.
aTm wins by 4, when AJ drops the slant with less than a minute left.

The offense sets new records for yardage and points and the defense is middle of the pack in the SEC, but leads the league in Turnover/margin.

Jordan Ta'amu gets an additional year of eligibility and returns after getting snubbed for the Heisman.

(A) 9-3 overall, with losses to Texas Tech, Bama, and LSU. I’m really trying to identify a 4th loss, but with the vision I have in mind and the fact a 4th loss won’t be necessary to pull the WAOM (read below), I’m sticking with 9-3. Conference record will be 6-2.
(B) 27 TD / 12 INT
(C) AJ will finish with 1000-1100 receiving yds and 11 TDs, a solid year but the ball will be spread to other targets as he will be double covered at times and used as a decoy.
(D) Phillips
(E) 3
(F) Auburn (will have Auburn fan base up in flames calling for Gus firing, I can see Luke’s shite eating grin while being interviewed post game and a Gatorade bucket being dumped on him, this is when our offense will be at its peak with wins against Arkansas, South Carolina, TAMU, Vandy, and Miss St (only because 3 of these programs have coaches in their 1st year at that school, and St will be AJ’s and very likely Metcalf’s final game in college).
(G) Texas Tech (just a sloppy game where their offense owns our defense, and Ta’amu starts out rocky, Luke’s head is called for). However the real WAOM will come with a close loss to LSU, where if we had won the game we would be slotted for SECG, but with the loss we roll the carpet out for either Alabama or LSU. And note we win out after the LSU loss, so it all comes back to that loss.

Edit: Also this doesn’t reflect Luke’s coaching ability. This is due to raw offensive talent and an experienced offensive line. It’s not to say Luke is good or bad, but rather that much of the success is attributed to offensive success which the majority will be departed next year.

(A) 7-5 (3-5)

(B) 26 TDs, 12 INTs

(C) 1104 yards

(D) Eric Swinney, 848 yards

(E) 5, Southern Illinois, Louisiana-Monroe, Kent State, Arkansas, Vanderbilt

(F) Arkansas - we end our four game skid against the Hogs by whooping them 38-14 in Little Rock

(G) LSU - down 6 with 7 minutes to play, LSU chews up the clock on a 17 play drive (14 of which are runs), scoring the game tying touchdown with 45 seconds left. The final 8 plays are runs, none of which go for more than 8 yards.

A thread gauging opinions of the strength of the team approximately 50 days from kickoff is weird. Who knew?
