So you’re saying other teams will use it against us? If you go to ole miss you have to respect our nation. Come here and we will stomp the flag at mid court.

Come on man no one will remember that speech in two months.

I agree. Either he can recruit or he can't. His statement about honoring the flag and country isn't gong to make or break him when the rubber meets the road.

You have no clue what you're talking about. Other schools still use the confederate flag against us even though it hasn't been allowed at football games since the 90s. Once again if this was a question someone asked then ok, no one asked him this so why say it? It was the wrong time and place to make a political stance.

I don’t think he was making a political stance though.

I’m not sure he was necessarily making a political stance either, but certainly some people have taken it politically. I don’t get why he would offer that quip up unsolicitedly when it’s never been a question with any program really though. Like, I don’t get why he felt he needed to go out of his way to let the press and public know how he’s going to dictate things there when it’s never been an issue

If a player doesn’t want to come to Ole Miss because our coach has a strong stance on respecting it then I don’t want that player wearing and Ole Miss jersey. Simple as that.
