Why do guys wear affliction shirts, wear flat bills and spike their hair up?

If there are any of you that wear this Jersey Shore shite, please explain to me why? You look like douche canoes and nobody except women with low self esteem find you attractive. Or they're incredibly slutty and have the herp.

The sad thing is that here in Vegas this is a perfectly acceptable thing for most men to wear, regardless of age.

I wear affliction-style shirts every now and then, I guess. Usually Redemption, actually (heavy on wings/crosses). Like the way it looks on my shoulders/chest, and so does the Mrs.
Never owned a flat bill, but I just found a sick looking Spurs cap that I'm probly gonna buy in a few weeks.
And my hair wouldn't spike if I tried (not to mention it'd be out of military regs), so I got nothing there
