Same for me. I've just never seen the point personally in getting shite faced. It doesn't matter to me if others decide to drink in excess I simply don't like to be around them when they do.

Me either. Have definitely been there, but it is never premeditated. Usually happens if I am out with friends and just get caught up in drinking/conversing and having a good time. Then, you realize holy shite I am destroyed... I cannot drink hard liquor anymore. Have been sick too many times in the past because of it and now I can even stand the thought of it. Just beer for me.

I hate being around drunks when I am sober. Hell, sometimes I hate being around drunks when I am drunk. I pride myself in still acting halfway decent even after a few drinks.

Anytime you drink even one alcoholic beverage you have an altered mental state.
If someone is drinking so much that it is altering their health or lifestyle, or they do things while drunk they know they shouldn't be doing, then they are likely drinking too much. Otherwise, nothing wrong with having a good time with alcohol.
