It does seem like black women try to "act black" to a greater degree than black men. Its pretty rare that I meet a black girl who doesnt act very stereotypical in public, but I feel like a large number of black guys dont give off that vibe.

Remove the word "black" and it still rings true.

Really don't think you thought that through. White girls spend just as much on hair care products if not more. You will learn grasshopper

No man not hair products I mean in general to have it done, extentions, etc. is more expensive and more upkeep than a white girls
60 Minutes? I believe did an exposé on how lucrative the business is and how its a multi-billion dollar industry. They get most of their hair from India and Black females can spend up to $5000 if not more to have their hair done.

Black culture fascinates me. Always said it'd be interesting to do a study on the black culture as a whole.

Move to Memphis that should do it for you ...

Extensions and weaves are super expensive.
I was talking to one of my friend's girlfriend. She said she only washed her hair every 5-10 days. She'd spray it and remove the stink if she was working out or it was windy, but the natural oils that make it look good get killed by a real shampooing.
He said he couldn't get anywhere near the top of her head if she just got her hair did and they'd have to park under awnings/drop her off at the front door if there was a slight chance of rain.
Apparently that's normal.

My mom is from Memphis. That's where most of my extended family lives.
My dad (well, my mom too) went to dental school there and he didn't have the most money while he was going through school, so he lived in some ROUGH parts of town. His stories are quite entertaining. And their stories of working at the public health center during dental school are also quite astonishing. One guy asked my mom or dad if he could sharpen his teeth for street fighting.

This thread. Wow.
This is true, it just depends on the type of girl you date.

Jesus Christ delta. Black women have always loved me. But that's probably because I can engage them naturally and not awkwardly. Black girls generally like white guys from my experiences.
The last conversation I had with a black girl was at Dodge's store in leland as I was in line to buy beer and the girl behind me said "Suh wud ya be so kind to pay fo mah gas" to which I replied "frick no I aint paying for your goddamn gas" and then she started crying and I was amazed at the thought that this stranger actually expected me to do it. So you can understand my point of view here

Meh...................... It depends on who you talk to, or what region of the country you're in. Each person in this world acts a different way.

I have plugged damn near every race common to the states, and I can say far and wide that black girls have the widest range of stereotypes/social class that they cover. I'm talking beehive "no u dident" ghetto... all the way up to high end european ghadiva chocolate!
