The Punisher. No special powers needed (although it's debatable if Death saved him in Vietnam) and kills people who deserve to die.
Batman is a good pick too. Criminals know he has a code and refuses to kill people yet they're still terrified of him.

Superman. He was the only superhero that didn't have to put on a costume to become "the superhero". He was Superman... he put on a costume to be normal.

Let that sink in.

Well, in a sense Batman actually does that to a greater degree then Supes.

While the movies, because they are written by Hollywood screen writers, always have Bruce Wayne regretting being Batman and trying to give it up... the comics for decades have stressed to Batman his Bruce Wayne identity is only important because of the resources it gives him access to.

He'd give being Bruce Wayne up in a heartbeat if it came down to that or stop being Batman. Its why Alfred, the various Robins, and the other members of the extended Bat family are so important. They keep him from putting on the cowl one night and never taking it off again.

What if that was his last post ever??? He has averaged nearly 20 posts per day for over a decade, then he does the ultimate sign off by posting about comic books, then fades off into interweb lore.

The Flash...fast as heck without his suit.

The Hulk...actually destroys his clothes when becoming the hulk.

All of the Fantastic 4...in fact, their costumes only make them look lame.

The X-Men...their freakin' mutants with or without costumes.

I would agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong. Batman puts on a costume to hide from society, to conceal his identity. Superman puts on his costume to fit in with society, to conceal his superhuman identity. Batman's costume is his batsuit and it's equipped with gadgets. Superman's costume is a suit, glasses and a tie.
