Who is your favorite superhero?

...and why?
I'm going to be a basic bitch and go with Batman:
I wasn't in to superheroes as a kid, especially not the Marvel universe, and as a result I don't find the Marvel heroes all that appealing today. I don't understand their super powers and the universe they exist in doesn't seem to follow any real rules or have a consistent narrative. Batman on the other hand has no impossible superpowers, he's just rich AF.
Christopher Nolan's films and Christian Bale's portrayal really won me over, they have great stories, cinematography, soundtracks, everything. The Dark Knight is still one of my favorite movies.

I always pulled for the villian tbh, so the Joker.

I hear you, I often do that too and understand the appeal of Joker. I'm definitely all in for the Empire in Star Wars. The Rebels are literal SJWs.

I was very much into comics as a kid and the answer is Batman
Why?
Because when I was a kid, it seemed realistic that I could be Batman
I never could identify with being put on a spaceship before my planet exploxed
The idea of being bit by a radioactive spider and being able to stick to walls, or not being able to get out of the way of a nuclear blast that turned me into a super strong monster when I got mad just did not register with me
I couldn't fathom getting hit by lightning in a lab and having that make me super fast
An alien wasn't going to crash and give me a ring that would do whatever the frick I could think of...
BUT, I could work out a bunch and train and become a bad arse
It was always Batman

When I was a kid it was the fire ring from captain planet and the green power ranger.
Today it's batman.

Hmm... originally it was Spiderman for me. Back in the day, from the 70's through the 80's Spidey was on an incredible roll and consistently had great story lines. The appeal of an every day guy with amazing abilities was pretty strong.
Marvel kind of put the weenie to that.
After that it became more of a rotating cast of favorites. Amanda Waller was always fun. Blue Beetle and Booster Gold were great (the Ted Kord version of Blue Beetle mind you). The extended Bat-family (with Black Canary being thrown in because of the Birds of Prey series). Captain America except Marvel kept dropping the ball with him. Captain Boomerang as the despicable coward in Suicide Squad was fun.
I probably enjoyed the Stephanie Brown as Batgirl series the most in the last two decades with its picture perfect mix of humor, drama, and action. Naturally DC shite canned that after two years and brought back Babs Gordon as Batgirl and had Steph vanish off the face of the Earth for years.

Shaft couldn't answer and asked me to post this for him. She's his hero:

Never got into DC. Just boring to me.
But yeah I’m the basic bitch Marvel guy that likes Iron Man, but I’m not huge into superheros.
