These dudes have been coming out regularly for a couple months now. I haven't hunted in a long, long time, so they're safe from me, but I've got a band of trash rednecks that live ~4 miles away that dog hunt (illegally, immorally, etc) Hopefully they can make it through the season without getting killed.

Sigh... I miss the DROP program.
I'd check the air pressure in the pressure tank first.
Also... if the pressure switch is bad (not very likely since it's a new construction though), I'd also replace that galvanized nipple with a stainless steel one. That galvanized nipple WILL eventually corrode and clog.

I would get a home inspector out there right meow. Even if it has already been "inspected" by the builder/construction co., I'd still hire my own inspector.
Single hung is extremely more energy efficient. My current house (new construction) only has 6 windows that open (single hung) and they are only for fire/egress. The rest of them are picture windows.
