Per Capita, it's probably a race between Arkansas, South Carolina, and Mississippi.
Now, Rednecks total?

There are 13 schools that are full of renecks. The odd ball is Missouri. They are yankees that are trying to fit in but are getting their shite pushed in.

Rednecks aren't bad people. All of us here know a million we call friends and family unless you're some kind of yankee transplant. I'll break it down into just white trash vs the catchall redneck term. Ranked from best to worst.
Mississippi, Georgia, Bama, Southern TN, Norhern LA - Normal Rednecks. Sure, there are some bad ones here and there, but for the most part they're just normal rural good ol' boys.
Texas - There rednecks are a different breed. Very weird people with an odd gene pool. They represent arguably the ugliest "normal" rednecks for one reason or another. For the most part, they're good people though, just touched by the ugly stick.
LA swamps- They're swamp people and weird as frick. They sound like they're from a different country. They may rank higher up the list, but I spent a good amount of time with them traveling there and find them to be decent people, just strange as frick.
Northwest TN and Arkansas - Littered with normal rednecks, but also has a strong contingent of inbred hill people which give me the honest to god creeps. I do my best to steer clear of these areas in fear of banjos and rape.
Florida- Trashiest population in the country. The jorts capital of the world, and they are another level of white trash. Outside of a few decent areas, the whole state is terrible. It's the only place where I fear of getting cut when surrounded by their rednecks. They're a hostile, window licking group of bad. The only area they don't overproduce and invade like cockroaches is Miami, and that place is an absolute shihole in its own right. It's 50% Yankee, 50% Cuban, and 100% miserable. I'd be ok if it Atlantis'd itself off in the ocean. The difference would be nobody would care to search for the lost city, and write it off as a win.
I don't have much experience with the Carolinas, so I'll let someone with more knowledge fill y'all in on those. I consider Virginia and Kentucky to be half yankee and half NW TN, so I steer clear of those too.

This is funny because I'd never been to SC until two months ago and that was for a wedding in a barn, where the guys in the wedding party wore khakis and the girls wore cowboy boots.

I find that pretty humorous and ironic.
One thing about the South, we believe in God and Country, and we are more integrated than any other region of the country. There was a study done about 2010 that found Ohio the most redneck state followed by California and Texas. At the time, Ohio had more KKK members than any other state (surprisingly). If I remember correctly, they defined redneck as white political activists against traditional government.

I believe its indiana now, but same concept[kkk]
Ohio for sure has a decent amount of rednecks, but it also has a fairly large population. I'd Ohio has a lot more urban white trash, which I wouldnt necessarily say are rednecks.
