When someone in your company sends an email to everyone...

who do you want to strangle more:
A) The one that started the whole mess or
B) The idiots that reply to all to tell her that she sent an email to the whole company therefore beginning an email tsunami that doesn't stop.
Yes, this happened this morning.

This one is the bigger idiot move. The one that started the mess isn't innocent, but hopefully they only sent that one email and realized their mistake. The people replying all to the email are the dickheads who should know better.

For me Normally one person can’t send an email to the entire company
Unless it’s those stock “CEO” emails

This happens every day in my company. Also reply all to "Thank you" and "You're Welcome" and "smiley face"

I worked for a company who had a guy e-mail everyone on his way out the door. Here are some of the things he said:
- The guy who prepared the turkey (we had a turkey fry out back) for the Thanksgiving luncheon came out of the bathroom stall...bypassed the sink and went straight out to preparing food.
- Referred to one of the group managers as a "glorified hairdresser" who only got her position by blowing the Sr VP under his desk on a regular basis.
- Showed where the skeletons were buried in contracts where employees were being underpaid (paying workers straight time for OT, while billing the client time and a half.
I wish I could remember the rest...He didn't just burn the bridges...the took a huge dump in the middle of the bridge before setting it on fire.

This happened with Merit Health where I work. My email inbox went from having 10-20 emails/day to over 1300/day. Most of them were from employees begging people to stop forwarding this email

respond with an borderline inappropriate email and then claim you were hacked. Should end it pretty quick.

Anyone remember the time NYU sent an email broadcast to everyone but put all recipients in the "to" line and 40k people were replying to each other?

Happens all the time.
We’d get a group email from corporate headquarters to our facility.
Then our operation manager would forward same email to everyone at our facility.
Then sales manager would forward same email to everyone at our facility.
Then the department supervisors would forward same email to everyone at our facility.
And so on and so you on.
All CYAing .
Sad part you could see who got the first email, but these people aren’t smart enough to figure that out.
Took early retirement 2015, don’t miss it.

Almost makes you wish emails were taxed just like post mail.
