Its not a big deal at all as long as they do not partake in front of their children, do not allow it negatively effect their work/home life and are able to act as a normal functioning member of society.

So do I. I was 14, the summer before 9th grade. I smoked with the obvious, kind-of-white-trash stoner and a good buddy. It was in the nursery of a foreclosed house in a nice neighborhood out in the county. Same week I smoked my first cigarette out in the woods - after which I was shaking uncontrollably and threw up on a mound of fire ants. Good times.

As long as you take care of your responsibilities first then it's perfectly fine. It's not any different than having a few beers to unwind.
