If you can't do, teach.
If you have a worthless degree, become a barista or
Why not work as a barista directly instead of getting a liberal arts degree before?
I could go on. but damn. Learn a trade that's in demand. Or become a teacher with red/purple hair.

After 3 years of religious studies I left school and enlisted in the Navy. After several years of accumulating credits through the Navy Campus program I was awarded a Bachelor of science degree with dual majors in Philosophy and Nuclear Technology.
My wife calls it the Dr Strangelove degree. Simply having A degree got me a nice job post USN administering Quality Control in the pet food industry, but it mostly serves as a lead in to sea stories.
