I think Lexington is a city-county as well. Been there a few times and I think I remember that being something rare about it.

I was shocked by this but I can totally see why she won. Lots of black people in BR.
But I bet that 43% is ALL of LSU.

Columbia, SC is a majority black city. Not shocking the numbers are so skewed towards HRC.

That was me for a bit, and yes you are right.

looking at this in terms of town doesn't make sense because most university students are not interacting that much with the people in town.

Fayetteville is only what, 5% black?

Thanks for combining. I was only going to look at Nashville and Knoxville, then got Google happy and before I knew it had 11 posts.
No problem. I like lists.

Depends on the university/town combo tbh.

Baton Rouge city limits is majority black. Most middle class and white voters don't actually live in the city limits.

As a Kentucky poster already said, Lexington has an openly gay mayor. IIRC they also have several gay clubs. It's a very inclusive city.
My wife may have went to undergrad there so I'm partial.

Thankfully not Knoxville. Although I would love to see Medical Marijuana become legal

The metro area?...sure. Williamson county and the more affluent suburbs are dark red though.

Yeah. I mean I get that it's a college town and they lean left but if I had to guess beforehand I'd have put CStat and Starkville as solid red.
It has just as much to do with demographics as it does actual Liberalism.

EBR is a big parish that is heavily polarized. While BR is majority black, the parish is majority white. There are lots of shites living in the suburban neighborhoods out in Shenandoah, St. George, Central, Slaughter, and Zachary.
LSU has lots of liberal professors and students who vote alongside the blacks in the city, much like any other southern college town.

It has been. Hope you and the wifey are doing good as well.

I just moved down to Atlanta so that's been somewhat of an adjustment, but I'm liking it so far.

We're good--except when she feels the baby kicking on her bladder, apparently. Baby boy's got some strong legs

Nice! I'm working with some of my company's Atlanta personnel for a project I'm working on up around Jonesboro. Hope to visit there sometime.
Glad you're adjusting to it well! Have you gotten to see your Thunder play the Hawks yet?
