I'm getting back into playing after years off, I use to play travel/tournament ball years ago and now I'm getting back into rec ball. I'm a power hitter and the last bat I bought was a Worth Mayhem Jeff Hall with 0.5oz end load and that bat had a lot of pop, the bat I had before that was a Miken Frak Plus. Money is no problem, I just want a good hot bat. TIA!

How long ago and where did you play out of? I played/traveled throughout the 70s, and played some around the Auburn/Columbus/Opelika area at times.

I played a lot of travel/tournament ball in the mid 2000's in the Mobile/Baldwin county area, I had my first kid in 2008 and that kind of ended it for a while but I've gotten back into it.

It's a fun game when the 90 feet get too far to travel without stopping for a rest.
We played some in the Mobile/Pensacola area...only about 30 years earlier.

Depends on the ball. I had gone a while without playing but ended up playing some this season in league ball. The league now mandates a softer ball but with much higher COR(so it still travels well). The bats that were great with the higher compressed balls weren’t as good with the softer balls. Someone had a two piece Demarini(black and red) that was really good. My Combat was terrible.

The travel baws have different bats for different orgs(usssa, asa, nsa) and different balls(higher compression or lower with higher COR)

I’d find an old one of these on eBay. I had the same bat and sold it when I quit playing. Wish I still had it. Personally was never a fan of Miken, and I know people used to take Ultra 2 ( senior league bat) and paint them ti look like Freaks. Was so prevalent at one point I played in a few tournaments that banned Miken Freaks. Lol

Miken Freak maxload or a DeMarini Juggy. Both bats are top of the class. The juggy seemed a little hotter out of the wrapper but after a BP session or two the freak took a slight lead.

ETA: I play ASA and second Golden’s thought of searching eBay.

same ball we use for league. Man I know the two piece demarini that is black and red kinda camo looking is great. I think two piece is your best bet
