Blue Moon is a good wheat beer. Amber and Shiner Bock if you like darker beer. Corona Light if you want something lower in calories.

Probably the best beer with the widest distribution.

Oskar Blues Brewery make some damn fine beers. They have a sampler 12 pack. I love the Blue Dream IPA. They have a good stout also.

This kind
My go-to domestics are Shiner Bock and Anchor Steam. Imports I like, Bass, Harp, Beck, St. Pauli.
As mentioned above, just try a few. The worst that happens is you had a couple of beers.

This is a good introductory pale ale.

Get you some Budweiser. It'll put some hair on your chest and lead in your pencil.

If you can find it, Victory Golden Monkey is the shite.

It's pretty solid. Plenty of craft beers I like more, but you can't go wrong with Yuengling

If you can find it, try Labatt's Blue. It's Canadian, and they know their beer up there.
There is an Australian beer that is my all time favorite lager called Crown Lager (not to be confused with Crown Royal-different folks). Most people think of Foster's when you mention Australian beer, but it's kind of like the way people think about Budweiser in this country....not bad but there are better.

I mean, it depends on your taste and where you are. Like I'm not a big IPA fan, but I know people who love them. Almost all of my favorite beers are local brews, and I don't live in Baton Rouge, so I don't know what to tell you.

You have a long journey ahead of you. I suggest getting untapped. It's an app that lets you log the beers you have tried. Gives you a feel for what you are trying. You can see what other people have said about that beer. You can see what kinds of beer you frequently get (IPAs, wheat, red, blonde, lager, stout, ect.). I hit 500 distinct beers back in August and still climbing. It's cool to look back and see what I've had. If I'm at a bar I can check which ones I've tried and how I rated them.
On to your question:
Pliney the Elder - Russian River Brewing Co (only available in California and Philadelphia)
Local Buzz - Four Corners Brewing
Most of the beers I've had from Boulevard Brewing are really good
Space Dust IPA - Elysian Brewing Co
San Diego Pale Ale .394 - AleSmith Brewing
Duvel Tripel Hop #6 - Duvel
Golden Monkey - Victory Brewing
Anything from Bells Brewing
The big thing is to find out which kinds of beer you like. If you don't like IPAs, start with blonde ales and amber ales. You will get used to the bitterness then IPAs won't be so bitter anymore. Happy drinking!

Blue Moon is water in a glass bottle. It gives wheat beer a bad name. Go get you a good Belgian wit or hefeweizen and experience what wheat beer should taste like.

Chimay is hard to find? I can go to the Total Wine ten minutes away and get all that I want.
