My hounds are trained for visual cues. I whip out the cast iron skillet and they know it is just a matter of time before fried chicken or fried catfish is happening.
They are also conditioned for sound cues. I can holler my head off them but they cn be 3 miles away and hear the kibble hitting the bottom of the metal dog dishes.
