Founding of Communism, Islam and Fascism. These 3 institutions account for more human genocide and suffering than anything else in history.

100% agree. These things are the worst ideologies humanity has ever conceived.

This has actually helped keep the world mostly peaceful since WWII. Without an atomic bomb, Russia and the US probably fight one of if not the most devasting conflict in history.

Additionally, the Allies would have had to invade mainland Japan as they were not surrendering and we're prepared to fight to the death. That would have resulted in way more deaths than both bombs combined. Lesser of two evils ended the war.

Abortion. It's gutless, heartless of murder of the most defenseless people on earth, and the number of aborted far exceeds any other form of genocide. On top of all that, the most "brilliant" liars on earth hide behind moronic arguments of a woman's right and other bullshite like that.

On the contrary, the bomb has helped us achieve a degree of relative peace never before seen in human history. It has been 73 years since world powers have waged open war against each other.

Mutually assured destruction has had a net positive effect on the world IMO.

Holocaust is the obvious answer but there may be things in the past that are worse. What about Ghengis Khan marching across Asia/Europe killing everyone? Or the Great Leap Forward starving everyone. Or how Russia treated its people in WW2? I’d be curious to a historians answer. Mankind has done a lot of terrible stuff.

Genghis Khan made the Holocaust seem like child's play tbh.

No disrespect to the Holocaust victims or survivors, of course, but the sheer scale/brutality of Khan is staggering.

Also the slave trade. I’d have to throw that into the mix

Found one of those list sites and it had European colonization of America as number one LINK

I agree, the decimation of the native population has to be one of the worst.

Shhhh, some people around here won't agree with you. They're too worried about what women are doing with their bodies

I disagree but can see how people would think that. It comes down to ones view of the morality of it, whether they see it as an actual human yet or not, whether women should have control over this, the trade offs, and a myriad of other issues that come along with the question of abortion.

Is the stage of the fetus not even a discussion anymore when discussing when abortion is appropriate?
