This is the illness that is tearing down our society. The rising generation is the first one that won't outlive their parents.
Technology has given us easy lives which has given us sloth, gluttony, greed, lust, pride, wrath, and envy. Without regulations on how many can be born (or simply walk across the border) into this orgy of surplus, the luxuries we take for granted now will vanish like a ripe wheat field that has been invaded by locusts.

You're on a roll so I hate to break this to you but the easy life enabled by technology hasn't given us a single one of the things you listed. For reference, see the book of Genesis, chapters 3 and 4.
Technology makes it easier to find the temptation you desire, but it is no more guilty of creating those temptations than a gun being guilty of committing a murder or thousands of pepperoni pizzas being guilty of clogging my arteries.
The lack of personal responsibility combined with healthy doses of moral relativism and the devaluation of concepts like honor and shame are the biggest threat to us right now.

Obesity. When I'm out and about it seems like 75% of the people I see are overweight to morbidly obese. I sometimes thin the U.S. will sink into the sea under all that flab.
