I am curious, why vote 3rd party? Unless its an obviously serious candidate like Lieberman after he lost his Dem primary.
It seems to me like a waste of a vote.

Voting day is irrelevant regardless.
If you want something different, something other than a candidate bought and paid for by the elite class -- checking a box on voting day isn't the way to do it.

Because you hate both the candidates and you want to say you voted so you can bitch about how much you hate the president. That's what I would have done if I could have voted in '08

I can't say because I'm not allowed to vote, but the bastards still take a fairly large portion of my check each week. If I'm not mistaken that's how one war already started.

I hate people like you. People like you are why this country is going in the shitter. Why don't you try voting for the candidate that most represent your views instead of whatever bullshite R or D?
There is virtually no difference between R and D candidates.

Because I am a realist. There is the ideologies that I might believe in, but you have to be realistic about the issue.
I'll use a sports example. Can I, a 5'8" white male make the NBA? Sure, but all the things that would have to happen to make that a possibility are simply not going to happen. I don't have the height, skill, or athletic ability.
It is the same as a 3rd party candidate failing to have the media, money, and political prowess.
You don't even know me. You haven't pointed to a single policy or idea that I support as a source for hate. I think Republicans AND Democrats would agree with my statement saying that they are undoubtedly different.

It seems to me that a vote for the candidate who best represents your position is never wasted regardless of outcome. The only truly wasted vote is one that is cast for someone other than the candidate who best represents your position.

All of this. Voting third party is never a wasted vote as long as you vote for the candidate that you feel best represents you.

Lol at you thinking our votes count. The game is rigged and controlled by the elite. Our votes go straight to the trash can

Thank you for a legit response. I am honestly just trying to understand 3rd party voting.

I intend to vote Libertarian because the Democrats and Republics are two sides of the same big government/big spending coin. They couldn't care less about their constituents or the Constitution. Even if the Libertarian candidate doesn't win, more and more people are beginning to wake up and look at said party every year.

This and it would be great if we could get enough libertarian voters to force the major parties to include the libertarian candidate in the debates.

Will never happen because it would destroy the narrative
