Like or dislike? I believe comcast and I have run our course and it's time for me to move on. Opinions and recommendations appreciated

Internet is a little slow, but overall I like it a lot.
The HD is 1080i instead of 1080p, but I can't tell a difference

I had Uverse installed back around November last year.
They had to come out 5 times to finally get it right.(although I was the first one in that area to get it installed on newly laid lines)
The TV portion is ok as long as your internet part is working correctly.
One of my main issues after the install bugs was worked out was their shitty 2wire router losing its wireless capabilities at random times(affecting TV as well). It was finally resolved by installing a LAN switch in between the main 2wire router and the kids wireless router. It seems their routers like to work alone.

The only time you'll ever be able to tell a difference (if any) with 1080 interlaced is with one of the frame refresher TVs that make everything look like it's happening smoothly.

And you don't really want to do that anyway--except maybe with sports.
What's the fastest speed you can get with uverse? Cable's capable 100+ Mbps depending upon where you live.

Had it in Tuscaloosa, loved it. Internet is 15ish mb/s down and 2 mb/s up or so, which is plenty unless you're anal about speeds.

what provider was you with before U
Comcast. I was hitting 40-50mbs with them. I get about 18 (even though I pay for the 30. I can get that at like 2am only) on a good day, and about 2-4 on upload.

Hate uverse net. Ping is 70-100ms more than regular net and very expensive. I have no other choice where I live.

I've had UVerse for 4 years now in at 3 different homes in 2 different states and have never had an outage.
It's the tits.

Depends on how it is wired
And ATT isn't using 2Wire ones anymore

Never had it but you will be settling for less. It boils down to bandwidth; cable has more while 2-wire phone lines/AT&T has less. Only thing superior to cable is fiber and it is only available is select cities. I have had Cox Cable here in GA for many years and the internet and TV performance has been and still is excellent. Just did a speed test at speedtest.net and got a 12ms ping and 32.63 Mbps download: LINK

I just did that speed test over my WiFi and got 12.01 MBPS download.
I'd say that seeing as I'm paying for 12 MBPS that's pretty damn good.
It's also plenty fast enough for me and my wife to both be on our laptops and have Netflix streaming on the TV.
I love UVerse because it's just right for me and it's the most reliable service I've ever had.

Had it for awhile before I moved, had some initial problems with it disconnecting randomly but after several calls to AT&T and 3 technicians coming out it was finally fixed. Never had another issue with it after that honestly
CHarter now.... 39.17 Download Speed 4.18 Upload Speed....

Don't sign up for any of their free for 6 months deals. Takes two years to get out of them. Expensive compared to other services.

I had to buy an extension for the Wifi but otherwise its great. If you are into onDemand then Uverse probably is not for you though. I love the recording shows aspects and I enjoy the service overall
