Bama is too soft. tFlagship never even let UALR start a football team, and they have a 55k seat stadium sitting empty a mile from campus.

It really shouldn't surprise anybody that ending UAB's football program was a predetermined agenda

How the hell does Bowling make money?

As for the football, it claiming that the college playoff system was somehow going to increase the revenue for UAB to a level that would pay for itself seems pretty out there.

Also not sure how the article gets that they aren't allowed to use full scholarship costs because the costs aren't a "hard cost".

And what are they going to do about a stadium? How long is legion field going to work? Are they going to have to put money into the stadium or build their own? Is that accounted for?

Article seems biased.

It was. The reason this firm was rejected is that members of the football association contacted them directly to ensure that OSKR's selection would guarantee agreement with their argument. To get the deal, OSKR published two papers critical of the move to help assure that the outcome was predetermined if they were given the job.

The head of the national alumni association, who is also chair of the football committee, warned the board that OSKR would not be accepted because the firm was tainted.

He was correct.

Alabama's football program was sure to die if UAB wasn't shut down. Alabama football will now be able to thrive!
