I think he's pointing out the irrelevancy of your post, seeing as how this thread is about campus beauty and has nothing to do with the town they're located in. There's no use in debating those Southern Living lists because that's not what this thread is about.

Classic straw man, though.

No. I think Auburn and Tuscaloosa are both great college towns.

I checked out Samford recently while in the area. It's too small and not really much to it

It's not the size of the campus but the motion of the ocean.

But I think Samford being small helps here. Easier to contain. No shitty parts. 100% nice and all the buildings are aesthically pleasing.

Take Elon University. It's about the same size as Samford and without question would far and away be the prettiest campus in Alabama. In North Carolina though it's probably #3 at best.

Agree about Sanford. Easily the prettiest campus college within the State.

Furman is decent small school campus but it feels more like a governors school for the arts than a college. there is also no college town area next to campus.

I would say Clemson is the best one in SC and it even has a beach on the adjacent lake.

Just as Kenny Powers didn't care about being good at exercising 'cause he played real sports, we at MSU don't pay attention to asthetics while we're trying to protect your soft little heads.

i looked at Ole Miss and MSU campuses on google maps and i prefer MSU.

the thing i don't like about both is how the college town area is not adjacent to campus.

Meh, if you dropped MSU/Starkville or OM/Oxford into a larger city like Nashville, then they would be practically the same location. When both the campus and the town are small then they seem further apart, I guess?

true, but i'm talking about being able to walk places.

nearby Traveler's Rest downtown area does kind of a college town vibe to it now but still have to drive over to it.
