Travel through Cullman and stop to meet Robert Lee. Maybe pick up a souvenir tshirt. Or don't. He don't care.

Prattville or Greenville. Assuming you will be traveling along I-65.

why would he travel I-65 if he's sightseeing?

I didn’t know he was sightseeing. I assumed he was headed to Florida on a beach trip. If he is doing a beach trip to Florida from Kentucky, then he’d naturally be traveling I-65 through the heart of Alabama.
Half of the car tags driving through my neck of the woods (Prattville) are either from Kentucky or Tennessee this time of the year.

There's nothing wrong with a Ruger LCP to carry in your pocket. Is it optimal? No. Of course not. Is it completely concealable and convenient? Yes. The best gun to have is the one by your side. I carry a LCP in my pocket sometimes for the right occasion. I've put hundreds of rounds through it without a failure. For it's size, I shoot it pretty accurately.
