I could really care less if they let gay people get married. I have gay friends and I actually find most gay people to be quite charming and inoffensive. They want to get married? Well, fine idiot, be miserable like the rest of us.

The only place that being around gay people has ever bothered me was in a locker room type environment. If they are going to let a gay man get naked in a room full of straight guys, then they need to level the playing field a little and have the women and men stop using different locker rooms, showers, etc. Starship Troopers style.

Why do you not agree with it? It is a basic human right. If it is a religious base, you can't deny human rights because of religion. That is Nazi shite.

I stand by my statement that if you are against gay marriage, it is because you want to stick it to gay people. Say I have two gay friends who get married, that has no effect on you, so why be against it?

Travon Martin was an alleged racial hate crime in the year 2012. Apples and oranges. And I haven't heard much about him on the news lately, which is interesting since I think there's an ongoing trial which should constantly be generating more news I would think. There wasn't even a trial related to the NH stuff but it lasted for fricking ever-- much longer than a year after the fact. And if you think that a black girl from inner city Birmingham going missing would have received as much coverage as Holloway you are in a state of false WASP persecution insanity.

I'm with you on the apathy. I support the idea of gay marriage, but I really don't care that much.

The states can't decide this one though. There is going to be the issue of recognition of these marriages between states, and the SCOTUS will eventually rule that states have to recognize marriages from other states.

I like what Eddie Murphy said on it also.

It's okay to have gay friends. I have gay friends. I play tennis with a gay guy and after the match I'm like "Okay, I'm gonna go drink a beer.", and he's like "Okay, I'm gonna go suck a dick." and I'm like "Okay. See ya' later."

I love Eddie Murphy's stand-up.

Gay Mr.T is fricking hilarious
"Make me get mad. I'll clench up my buttcheeks and rip your dick off."

I support a person's freedom to live their life as they choose (barring harm to others). Whether or not I agree with their lifestyle is completely irrelevant to this discussion.

It is my belief that marriage is a basic human right for a male and a female. Period. And lulz on the Nazi comment.

That's an awfully big jump and incorrect conclusion you are making.

Once again, it is my belief that marriage is an institution reserved for a male and a female. Nothing personal, just my belief/opinion. Guess what, everyone is entitled to have one, even if you disagree.

It is a tax bracket. And Constitutionally, all people are afforded the same rights afforded to others. Marriage is a legal status that benefits a different tax status, and therefore shouldn't be exclusive to any one group.

This is the way I feel about it.

As long as they don't call it marriage I don't care what you do or who you are with. But marriage is something sacred between a man and a woman and therefore homosexuals cannot be united in "marriage".

My favorite part of the bit is that he calls the kid shitty.

Also, I agree with that. I don't care what they do.

Related: I don't care if people think being gay is a choice or not. It doesn't matter either way. Who cares if you choose to be gay? Let them choose to do it...who gives a shite.

Isn't the divorce rate about 50% right now? I would also bet a good percent that haven't divorced have cheated on their spouse at some point. Doesn't seem like too many people are keeping it sacred.

I've always found his argument funny. Two men living together can function exactly like a marriage, but we can't call it that. It's all about a definition of a word.

So because the divorce rate is high we should let anything be called marriage? Sorry, that doesn't compute. Besides the financial aspect, I don't see why gays want to get married. It comes from a book that also hates them and condemns them to hell. Just call it something else and I will give 0 fricks.

It is all about where that word comes from.
