The FBI is bringing in 5k jobs. It will be the largest city in Alabama in the next 10-20 years.

My only concern is the economy being too reliant on gov't money. The 80s were horrible for that city if I recall correctly.
Also, Muscle Shoals would've developed much more if the gov't hadn't interfere with Henry Ford's plans.

The nicest areas in the SEC footprint are the North Atlanta suburbs, Savannah, Nashville, and the Dallas metropolitan area. South Carolina and Kentucky also have a few nice areas scattered about. The rest of the SEC footprint is uninhabitable.

Yes, they are. They are now nicer than Buckhead and West Midtown. Do you even live in Atlanta? It sounds like you haven't lived in Atlanta for the past 5 years.

Alpharetta and Marietta being the nicest places to live in Georgia really says a lot about that state iwabh

You're right about Charleston being nice. Include that in where I said parts of South Carolina.

The fvck they are.
Brookhaven/Chastain/Druid Hills/North Buckhead/Mt Paran > Alpharetta/Cumming/Woodstock
LOL, there's a reason houses in the first area are about 200% more per square foot than houses in the second area.
Also, have you been to Midtown in the last 5 years? The northern suburbs are great if you like clear cut fields, Beezer Homes, Chilis and white people.

Yeah, if NASA continues to take cuts and military realignment keeps ramping up, Huntsville could come crashing down hard. The housing market is pretty inflated, it would definitely pop like a bad zit.
If it's any indication, senior leaders do not stay at Redstone for very long I have noticed.
I honestly think it could go either way depending on future administrations.

Brookhaven is literally a Northeast Suburb of Atlanta. Are you stupid?

Absolutely nobody in Metro Atlanta includes anything ITP in the "northern suburbs". Even smug vegan granola people in East Lake and O4W.

Would actually much rather live in East Cobb than anyplace in Alabama.

The move would be to push tech initiatives, try to get on the a.i./software industry. Silicon Valley's best days are behind it and folks will look for cheaper areas to do business.

I grew up in Atlanta and have lived there all my life except for when I was in Athens for undergrad and New Orleans for law school. Is Brookhaven located inside the Atlanta city limits or not?

Welcome to the club. Again, nobody refers to Brookhaven or Chamblee as part of the "Northern Suburbs".
Maybe in 1987. Not anytime in the last 10 years.

You do realize Sandy Springs is no longer part of Atlanta, right? It sounds like you haven't been to the city in 10-15 years.
