It would be kinda funny to have only LSU posters be able to say it, and everyone else gets *****. But there are over 50 posters that have Coonass in their username. You just don't see the n or f word like that

Given the region we're in, and our history, we have to be extra sensitive to that particular word. They aren't all created equal.

I dont buy it. Nobody gives much thought to words like jigaboo, coon, porch monkey, spook, etc. The only word that is seemingly off limits even in non-derogatory settings is ****. Worse, its the only slur regularly used as a term of endearment among the very people it is supposed to offend.
Its inherently one of the most illogical and fascinating social phenomena anywhere.

None of those words are "acceptable" but that isnt what we're discussing. Were discussing the actual FEAR of verbally expressing that word outside the derogatory comtext. Why should we allow a word to have the kind of power to shame people over its very utterance? Its patently absurd.
