The earth has to be round because it's hollow.

Ok so the earth is flat (obvious flat is obvious).
But what is on the other side? Is it like our side except people walk around upside-down? Can I drill a hole in the ground and talk to them with 2 cans and a long string?

I'll pay 1k for somebody to take me a picture of the edge of the earth. Go ahead and take it, then get back to me.

We're still looking for it. It's an elusive bitch to find though..

There are a couple of really dumb posters in this thread and it isn't the OP (especially the barner in Miami). Come on guys, this one should have been easy.

I have friends on Facebook who actually think this shite, so it doesn't surprise me that they fell hook, line and sinker.

Wow. I couldn't imagine anyone actually believe that in this generation. Maybe in a third world country with little education but certainly not your average American.

Straws does live in Mexico fwiw.

What’s easy is gobbling up what the one world government dishes out without questioning it. OP’s hypotenuse is worthy of additional evaluation and discussion.

One of them is an American Army Engineer.
Although I think people who believe in it generally have problems with attention and overestimate their intelligence. I really do think it is an attention play, and not something they truly, honestly believe deep down.

KSGamecock,
I enjoy a good scientific debate. Why do you think that so many people get angry when you even bring up the possibility of a flat earth?
Are they government workers that have grants/funding that depends on a “sphere earth”?
Are they simple minded and just believe what our leaders tell them without questioning?
Like I said, to debate this issue is good for all of us. Tons more info comes out every year that suggests the earth may not be as round as we once thought.
The questions need to be answered.

I think the "ire" comes from the fact that no evidence is sufficient for them. "We have pictures" "THEY'RE FAKE" "We have videos from space" "FISH LENS" "Then there's gravity" "FAAAAAAAKE".
If the Earth was flat: All astroanuts, geologists, physicists, cosmologists, -- math itself is lying. It's such an easy theory to dispel from multiple angles. When they give you a degree in many different fields of study that are heavily influenced by a round Earth, do they walk you into a room where they tell you that it's actually a conspiracy without any motives? It really is annoying when someone really believes in it, because they're basically admitting that they are logically retarded.

I think it depends on the person. The average person who just scoffs and calls you stupid reacts that way because taking the redpill on something so simple but so large would break their minds and their every conception of reality. It's the same reason the Government hasn't shown us the ET bodies they have.
A smaller but more vocal group reacts with violent anger because it threatens their livelihood and agenda.

Yes, I would imagine several million if you totaled it up. You don't even have to look that hard...the Marines are a particularly obvious example:
Just imagine how many bumper stickers would have to be changed, tattoos would have to be redone or covered up, etc just because the EGA is incorrect.
quote:

They're not simple minded, they're normal people who just think they're doing the right thing. We all do it, we don't have the time to question EVERYTHING in the world and in our lives and some things we just have to accept what other people tell us. Unfortunately in this case what we've been told is a gigantic lie.
I'm glad we see things similarly.

Astronauts - lol if you actually believe they went to space I can't really help you. You can't use logic to convince someone out of a position they haven't arrived to logically.
Geologists - rocks have nothing to do with the shape of the earth. That would be like asking a glass-maker to design a car because they make windshields.
Physicists - Doctors don't have anything to do with this
Cosmologists - Neither does makeup

I fell off once, barely was able to grab onto land before I disappeared. I'm never going that close to the edge again.
