Anyone have any stories about some crazy they have worked with either in the past or now?

One that comes to my mind was a lady who seemed really nice up front. What clued me in that she was a weird one was she had a gargoyle on top of her cubicle to "keep the evil spirits away". She also had crystals all over her desk for good energy and vibes. Found out she was an alcoholic and would bring an empty Jack Daniels bottle to work and use it as her water bottle throughout the day. She got fired because she was habitually late. Anyone else have any stories?

I posted this story yesterday on the OT so I'll paste it here:

I worked at a place where one of the higher ups got his very strange son a job as a delivery driver taking parts from the warehouse to customers.

I wasn't there long, but the son had a habit of going into the bathroom at the end of the day, turning off the lights, sitting on the floor of the stall, and whacking off to My Little Pony porn. He got walked in on twice.

We know it was My Little Pony porn because he openly talked about being a brony like it was normal, and would walk up to people with his phone saying "hey watch this" like he was going to show a funny video, but instead it would be cartoon My Little Pony porn....

I refused to shake that guys hand.

When I was working for a security company, my "Captain" (for the sake of brevity: he thought he was a regional coordinator but was just the captain at another site) used to bug the frick out of me about stupid things. I wore the company's issued 5.11 pants and he'd bother the frick out of me because I didn't put on slacks.

So, one day when I was talking with some of the other employees they started to ask me "Do you know what Captain x did?", and of course I was like frick that guy so I asked them to tell me.

Turns out, dude got fired from the Port Authority for falsely activating the National Guard because of a Chinese Freighter that he thought was the beginnings of an invasion. Keep in mind, this is the East Coast.

The crazy part though, is that he ended up suing Port Authority because they terminated him over it -- however, he had Whistleblower Status (same shite with me, except he was complaining about security at the port) and ended up winning his lawsuit with them -- only to lose all of his money in the stock market and work with me.

I have a shite ton of stories with a lot of people if you guys are looking for more like this.

We had a genuine schizophrenic guy in our office. He wouldn't take his meds and would occasionally have a "fit."

Once I came upon him throwing mason jars against the brick wall of his office. It was Christmas time and he and his wife had put together a powdered tea mix that he thought everyone would enjoy. He went on to thoroughly trash his own office.

I asked him what was wrong and he said that no one deserved his gift. He was upset with someone apparently. I reported the incident to HR and they investigated but he was only ordered to treatment. Seems our medical director had a son who was also schizophrenic and so he was very sympathetic.

That was his worst outburst and he never had another severe episode, thank goodness. Apparently he stuck to his medicine regimen after that, mostly.

I'll confess now, years later, that I very secretly packed heat at work after that. I would probably have been fired if discovered but I would much prefer being shown out the door than carried out the door. I considered the man to be dangerous.

A lady in our office used to spend her lunch hour sitting on the ground in the parking lot feeding a bunch of stray cats. Another employee decided to take one of the cats home one day, and cat lady flipped her lid the next day. She got suspended for a few days, but still came to the office at lunchtime to feed the cats while serving her suspension. She's probably still working there feedign the cats.

Welp, that pretty well beats any of my weird coworker stories.

I once had a manager at a store I worked at briefly down in Destin who was the ultimate butterface. She made the Wicked Witch of the West look like Audrey Hepburn in the face. Below the neck, however, she had the single nicest body I had ever seen up till that point and its still in my personal top three.

It turns out she used to be a body model (for obvious reasons) and one day while we are working she told me why gave that up. I still remember it to this day. "I was sitting in bed and I just told myself, Lucinda... God don't want you showing your titties. God didn't put you here to do that."

She said it like it was a big awakening for her, a major spiritual moment. Meanwhile I'm chewing on my tongue to keep from laughing my fool head off.

Had a guy where I worked that would eat out of the garbage. Tried to hind it at first but got to the point where he didn’t care who saw. Would freak the women out first time they would see him do it.
Boss wouldn’t say anything. Said he didn’t know how to approach him about it.

Worked with a guy in the TV business that seemed pretty nerdy but overall normal and harmless. Then one day another camera guy showed me a text from him about his fetish for smelling feet. He was asking the camera guy if he could come over to his house to sit on his couch and smell his feet.

I work in IT, so there tend to be a lot of strange characters. One guy in particular was a programmer. He was in his early twenties and still lived with his parents and sister and pretty much supported them. He would always come into other guys' offices and start talking about random boring stuff and would just keep on and on, even follow you around if you tried to leave the room. Another younger guy used to piss me off by bringing him into my office and getting him started talking about something and then go back to his office.

I worked with a guy who would randomly, and without warning, jump up from his chair, grab his shirt and start popping it really fast. It sounded like popping a towel, but at sewing machine speed. Then he would start bitch slapping his chair and sit back down like nothing had happened.

His shite breaks lasted exactly 60 minutes. Every time. Twice a day. Someone brought us lunch from Subway once. He promptly took his sandwich and to the bathroom stall and dined while taking a dump.

The first job I ever had there was this guy who I thought was gonna be a school shooter. He had such evil looking eyes/expression that he creeped everyone out.

I had one that wrote handwritten notes to herself from God (and posted them on her cubicle for everyone to see) while popping pills constantly. I really thought we were gonna get gunned down one day, especially when she got fired.

Wow, Kentucker ..I can relate. A while back I was doing some research for a firm , and at one point we were using a really big plasma cutter. A colleague was less than careful with the research. He ended up as a suicide casualty ( at his home, not at work thank goodness ) and I have wondered how ( as was revealed later ) a schizophrenic attained clearance .
