One of my groomsmen was black and he was the only black person at our wedding (his GF and date was white). It wasnt an issue for him or anyone else.
I have no idea why this would be a thing at all unless someone just has an intolerant family.

I was best man for my friend's wedding a couple years ago and was the only black person there. Literally never crossed my mind until my wife mentioned it in passing to me after the fact.
Like you said, it's only an issue if people make it one. Which is silly.

in all honesty I don't know which type of black person I hate more. The ignorant black person or the self hating black person.
