Cocaine? Sure, but it is a lot younger drug than opium. It didn't even exist until the late 1800s. There were a lot of problems with overdoses in the early 20th century but opium wins the killer drug race easily.

Now crack is a different story. It did not exist until the 1980s.

No it wasn't ... you, once again, were implying that I'm just an old dumbass. But when I asked the question, not sure of the answer, I was still fairly sure because I've known a lot of people that liked cocaine, it was big in my day ... and it ruined some of their lives, but most kicked the habit once they grew up.

Besides, there is nothing funny about this topic ... it's (heroin and other opioids are) not a joke. It's the scourge of this country IMHO, costing us billions if not trillions, and the cartels are getting rich and funding ISIS level terror just south of our borders because of it.

People are dying by the 10s of 1000s because of this evil shite ... heads are literally rolling. I fail to see the joke in it I guess.

The others covered it well. Cocaine is addictive but heroin is much worse.
