New? I said in the original post she randomly brought home a kitten. It was only there till the next day when she left for work. Wasn't even a rescue

I think a girl like that doesn't respect you. You can't just pull that shite. You should just leave her and let her keep the cat by her own damn self. You let this slide and she will take it even further and the next issue might not just be a dumb cat.

That's probably true. Getting the cat is her just trying to win. It's a relationship, not some stupid game.
He's just as concerned about "being right" though. I'd probably cut my losses at this point, knowing just what I know from this thread.

I'm not a huge cat fan either. But that's beside the point here... the point is: you shouldn't act like its your job to be an authority figure to your girlfriend. And your girlfriend shouldn't be so inconsiderate to make decisions like that on her own and then act like you have no say in it whatsoever. Both of you are terrible partners
