Okay so my gf and I were debating on getting a pet. I voted dog, she voted cat. We were weighing the ups and downs of them over the course of a couple of days when she randomly brought home a piece of shite kitten. Very upset about her decision, I took the thing back to the seller without her knowing and got the money back for it. Now we haven't spoken for about 2 weeks. I still think I'm right, thoughts?

But FWIW frick that cat he got what he deserved and also I would have at least entertained that idea of what you did before ultimately giving in.

Though I do have a scapegoat for this because I am highly allergic to cats so that's a deal breaker for me.

She was wrong.
You probably should have just gotten a dog without her knowing and let the dog evenutally do away with the kitten.

Are you having sex?

No? Then you're wrong.

That was impulsive and underhanded move on her part to just bring home the kitten, however you should have discussed it with her and come to a mutual decision to return the cat.

Or you could've faked a cat allergy till she returned it gave you a sympathy bj.

Oh frick cats. I think it was bush league on her part to bring it home.

But it was just as bush league to return it. Smart man would've takled about it first, and then after she refuses to give it up, get a dog/let the cat go outside to never return.

When I said "Why the hell would you bring a cat here you know I didn't want one at all", she said, "it's here now matt theres nothing you can do about it."

You don't just give someone's pet away without them knowing and expect everything to be okay

You don't just go buy a pet when you're living with someone and expect everything to be okay.

You can probably stop referring to her as your girlfriend now

Given the new information about what was said. You did the right thing. Its not like it was a cat she has had for years and developed a bond with.

Pretty sure you should expect to hear these words many times in your future with her.
