I want my pork BBQ from South Carolina (mustard based sauce only please), my brisket from Texas, and most importantly...my chicken from Big Bob Gibson's in Decatur, AL.

I'm torn between beef ribs and pork ribs. I've had damn good examples of both.

Funny thing is I grew up eating BBQ chicken with white sauce (dad made his own) and thought that was just how you ate BBQ chicken, because that's how everyone ate it in North Alabama.

Saw's chicken with white sauce is the best I have ate. His pork is terrible though. Full moon has some great pork and wings.

Disagree. Though, I pretty much only go to the one in Homewood or Avondale, so maybe the Juke Joint isn't as good. Their pork is very good IMO.

Yea, I tried to not put any of the chains (though I realize Saw's has pretty much become one). Full Moon is good though.

Saw's has to brine his chicken. The center of the breast melts.

If Tennessee isn't number one it's not a serious list

This is somewhat incorrect. The number one dairy state is California. I understand that Texas has the most head of cattle, given the beef industry. But California has the dairy numbers.

I call BS. Ive had some of my best meals ever there. Id easily put in on the same tier as original Dreamland and Archibalds in Tuscaloosa in terms of brisket. Their sauce is also Dreamland tier good.

Regarding beef vs pork ribs, I go with the PORK as better every time.

Brisket done well is sublime.

I was in Nashville for a long weekend this past weekend, and the pulled pork I had was mighty fine but the one place I had pork ribs it was a bit dry for my tastes (I was surprised). Some of the best ribs I've had were in Memphis and were dry rub vs wet.

Dry rub is the way to go.

BBQ is a staple of the Midwest as much as it is the south. You're probably right about Louisiana, but I'll still take our food over BBQ

Take out New Orleans and Myrtle Beach and South Carolina beats Louisiana like a rented mule.

Just take out one of the best food cities in the world. That's all you need to do to bring it closer.

They're so different to me that, despite both being ribs, they are a completely different class of foods.

I love them both. I don't have beef ribs as often, though. They're like BBQ decadence.

Um, correct me if I'm wrong but FL has more and more species of seafood than LA and MS combined.

And you are of the opinion that more = better.

One thing is certain, you have more species of subhumans than all other states combined.

Back on topic.

Pork is the best BBQ but don't consider slow smoked meats BBQ, brisket is king of this genre and I really enjoy both.

Yes. More money and more mahi and more hoes and more good whiskey and more good cigars and more anything good is always better.

I've been to MS. I'm aware of the subhumans there. Let's not go there.
