Yall talking about "old country" are still stopping a bit short. Waylon and Willie are some of the best, but they aren't the oldest. You wanna talk about "classic", I usually cut it off around Hank Sr, Tom T Hall, Johnny Horton, etc. There are some very good artists today, but the quantity of good artists is much lower than it was in the past. Of course, I still listen to a bit from every era, but I think the 60's and 70's had the most consistently good stuff.

And no, I'm not old. Just act that way sometimes

He has some good songs. Don't think I don't think about it was a very good song with a traditional country tune.

Def my favorite kind of country is the "outlaw" country from the 60's and 70's (Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, early Hank Jr.)

I also like some really old stuff like Hank Sr. and Patsy Cline.

Currentl acts I like Eric Church. Brad Paisley is decent.

Also I really think Eric Church has the potential to be on that list someday

He is at his best when he does real country. I can't stand the hardcore songs that he did, especially the ones with that metal band.

I just loved him so much as "Hootie," it's hard for me to hear him do anything else. I like his unique voice, though & respect him for doing something he's always wanted to do.

90's country > Country now.

Good "new" acts:
Florida-Georgia Line
Brantley Gilbert (before him and Jason Aldean got together)
Luke Bryan
Eric Church
Easton Corbin
The Band Perry (Somewhat iffy, but at least Kimberly Perry can sing)

shite that makes me cringe:
Sugarland
Hunter Hayes
Keith Urban
Taylor Swift
