I'm fricking worried.

Germany is #2 in the world for a reason. And they are pissed and need a win or draw. They have 4 days of rest, we have 3. And we just played our butts off in the middle of the jungle.

This really worries me because I think Ghana will beat Portugal, then it is goal differencial, then total goals scored and that would be a coin flip between us and Ghana if they win and we lose by one since it would depend on how high scoring each game is.

Also isn't Portugal like #4 in the Soccer version of the AP poll? That's damn impressive.

Now all you non-Bama fans know what it's like to have a team pull something out of their arse at the last second.

Portugal is #4 but they were missing 6 total players. They were not at full strength.

I looked it up on another site..

It is goal differencial.

Then total goals scored.

If Germany kicks our arse badly and Ghana wins, they advance.

No, they don't.

draw with Germany would suffice if Ghana beats Portugal and the tiebreaker favors the U.S. over Ghana or the Portugal-Ghana game ends in a draw and the tiebreaker favors the U.S. over Portugal.

We beat them, the GD only matters if the teams are on an even level.

Ghana is not.

Pretty sure you are wrong.

Tie breaker is goal differencial, then goals scored. Nothing to do with H2H.

I look at it this way:

I never watched, enjoyed, or cared about soccer before. Now, I've enjoyed two exciting games. I get at least one more.

I would have PREFERRED that this next game was unneeded. But, it will now have some anticipation going for it.

They're not going to attack, and neither is the United States. Both sides are gonna chill out for that game and it'll probably be really, really boring.

And niether were we, and they stil had the #2 player in the world. Many didn't have us beating them. I think ties are stupid, but I'll take it.

According to certain sources he was the #1 player in the world.

And consequently: If you remove two enormously lucky plays we were ahead quite easily.

The first goal Portugal scored, it'd be silly for anyone to say it just didn't take a favorable bounce.

The goal with Bradley there, that was another extremely favorable bounce for Portugal.
