Just wanted to share a bit of good bull that my company does. After a hiatus of a year due to COVID, this Saturday, Nov 6th, over 800 aspen dental practices nationwide will be providing free dental care to veterans. Also probably due to COVID, the number of booked appointments are way down, so if you are a veteran and want/need some sort of dental care, please call us to set up an appointment Saturday! Hope we can help some people on this board and/or loved ones get the care they deserve and that we can show our gratitude for your service and sacrifice for our protection! also, if y’all wouldn’t mind sharing this event with vets who may need the help, we really want to be able to help as many patients as we have spots! The last one we had we donated over $15MM worth of dentistry nationally, and we really want to beat that this year, but we need help filling the schedules! P.s. we are 43 states (pretty much all except Hawaii, Alaska, and a small area of states in the northern Midwest)
1-844-ASPENHMM to book!

Edit: thanks to some sleuthing by BamaRoo, I learned something about the day I somehow didn’t know or forgot over the past few years. Immediate family of veterans (spouses and children) are also eligible for this day! Thanks for the research!

No way I’d let an Aggy near my mouth when I was under sedation

Oh come on. Let people do a good deed without a humorously vulgar joke attempt friend.

Too bad TexAg7/Cajunbama/Daniel is too much of a coward to serve our country. He would have been a prime candidate.

All kidding aside, this is a great program. Well done.

Let me guess: you’re the director of marketing at Aspen Dental?

In all seriousness I think that’s a fantastic thing to offer our vets.

Lol just a lowly regional manager- I just enjoy being able to give back to the community, especially our vets who aren’t always given the best opportunities when they get home. For an example, did y’all know that the VA only provides dental coverage if you are 100% service related disabled?

I’m sorry if you had a bad experience man- every aspen is privately owned by a local dentist so it’s like going to a private practice with a big name in front. I’ll assure you that every aspen is different just like any other doctor or dentist you go to. I have a healthcare background before I got into operations, and I guarantee I wouldn’t be here if we weren’t fully committed to patient care first and foremost. The great thing about aspen is that we really work more to tell patients what they need, even if it’s not what they want to hear. We feel that if you do the right thing for our patients, they will spread the word, and that’s a lot better than trying to gouge people now.

Uh there's a whole subreddit about how bad Aspen is...

Big company- big target. If you were in an organization that every area is run differently by the individual owners but they share the same name, the few vocal people who had bad experience get loud. We see millions of patients per year. What fraction of that is on the subreddit? Karen’s gonna Karen no matter what you do. I tried to tell a patient today to save money and NOT get sometime before his insurance kicks in. He said he didn’t understand and how dare I try to upsell him?! Never going to please everybody, and the angry minority is the vocal one.

That said, my post isn’t to argue about whether or not you like my organization. It’s about the fact that we are donating free dental care to veterans and we want to give back to our community.

nahh. It's things like making a partial for a patient and it fits horribly and is actually painful, and they have the patient keep coming back, stringing them along, making minor adjustments but never really fix it or do right and make a new one. I know 3 people this happened to and one is my wife.

edit: and no, we didn't know about the others till it was too late.

Again, every office is different. Has she tried going to a different nearby office? I wish there was a way to send private messages to people on here. I’d love to be able to direct you to a way to have a better outcome.

If you are on 247, send me a message same username

As a vet fortunate enough to afford my dental
needs but aware that many of those who served their
country are not in the same position, this sounds
like a great program. I did a little background
check and it appears that military family
members are also eligible ?
