Kinda glad Aggiebelle went to bed early. She knows I'm involved with this place, but she's not a super message board geek like I am, so it's weird/different for her, I guess. She just says my internet friends are nice (which makes me laugh
). I've been a member of this forum longer than I've been a married man. Nights like tonight take me back to when I was sitting in my house on Altus, AFB, OK, with no furniture in it except for a recliner and a mattress (because wifey was in Missouri with the household goods until I got orders to join her), just posting on the rant after she'd gone to bed to keep from being too lonely.

That's what made her stand out. She went against the grain of the forum and made the newcomers feel welcome, when she surely didn't have to, as an established poster herself. Managed to pull off being nice without coming across as a pushover, too--girl more than held her own on here

I remember going back to my apartment after work during my internship in Birmingham, where I knew nobody, and spending most evenings in the IM threads. Was that March I went to baton Rouge and stayed with coastie before the spring game.
Anyone know if MudMinnow is still around? He might already know, but if anyone could get in touch with him. He was a part of that IM crew
