Few more...
- Smashed my thumb with a hammer. Tore the thumbnail 95% off with the blow.
- Got my right index finger caught between the bar and rack when trying to help a guy that got stuck trying to squat about 400 something lbs and just bailed and dropped the weight. Pulled like a mother fricker to get my finger out from under the weight and it came out mangled, bone sticking out and spraying blood everywhere. That was some sick and immediate pain that caused me to pour sweat and vomit.
- Road rash from second motor cycle accident.
- Broken ankle from 3rd motorcycle accident when my foot peg snapped off while leaning into a turn and my foot hit the pavement immediately after.
- Back injury that led to 6 weeks of back and sciatic nerve pain.
- Compound break of bone bones and my wrist at the same time in my left arm.
- Bruised sternum and rib from flipping a fourwheeler trying to go up an incline that was too steep and the damn thing came back down and landed on my chest. Also sprained my wrist as I tried to shield myself.
- 2nd and 3rd degree burns from trying to light the inside of a roman candle as a kid.
- Cigar burn from putting a cigar out on my arm after drinking a 5th of SoCo one night (still have a nice scar to remind me of the perils of being extremely drunk and extremely stupid at the same time).

head on collision (passenger) car wreck: airlifted to hospital- fracture C2, jaw broken two places, 9 teeth chipped or broken, almost bit the tip of my tongue off, smashed my hands and knee up a bit also. Initially wasn't given much in the way of painkillers because of my BAC. yes I was drunk. (made a full recovery)
pilonidial cyst- surgery twice, hopefully gone now.
broke radius & ulna at the same time as a child. lady at daycare said it was a charley horse and was gonnna "rub it out." getting that set back by a doc was some fantastic pain.

I thought the acl was bad, but I think falling off that 10 foot ladder was worse
The myth that when falling it's in slow motion is bullshite. When my safety harness broke and I fell 20' it wasn't no slowmo. Luckily I had enough time to roll sideways in the air to not land on my back, which had a backpack and hunting riffle strapped across. Plus the small tree I fell through helped slow me down. Falling sucks.

Upon extraction, urethral tear of about .75". 3 month recovery.
i had an anal fissure a few years ago. after talking around, seems more common that i thought.
started noticing bloody stools, and then one day it felt like i was literally pooping bricks. doc said my b-hole was like a piece of paper with a little tear, and every time i had to potty, the rip would tear further and further. i would get nervous everytime i had to go, and scream and hold back tears until it was over. stool softener eventually let the prob correct itself.

It was quick.
I would have fallen on my head, because I fell over a ladder, but I put my hand out. Broke my wrist on the concrete floor and my hip hit a return air grill, I had a massive bruise for about 3 months.

Woke up during surgery(having screws put in my hand). I was awake for a good while before they noticed. I could feel everything but I couldn't move or talk. Listened to them telling jokes and shite while they drilled into my hand. Finally, one of them noticed my eyes were open, said something like "shite, he's up", and put me back under.

Dayuuum! I think I might've had a few choice words for the anesthesiologist afterward.

Military doctors. They'd have just told me to get lost.

My appendix ruptured when I was 11 or so. Pretty damn excruciating. Only thing comparable was broken bones from basketball and football at a similar age.

Yes, you were very fortunate. Glad to know you're ok. Had it been me, I'd have just dropped dead on the spot from sheer horror.
You might be surprised how you'd react. I came close to being bitten once before and honestly thought I was gonna have a heart attack from the fear. But when it actually happened, I was very calm and collected. I knew I didn't have time to be scared, just needed medical attention ASAP.

I've always heard that panicking makes snake bites worse because the poison travels faster throughout the bloodstream. Don't know how true that is, but sounds like you did exactly the correct thing.

Gout
They say it is equivalent to childbirth.
Curse of my life.

I think there are three specific incidents I can recall.
One was this past Wednesday morning. T-11 Mass Tactical jump, ACP level III setup, then a 6 mile footmarch back to the gate...all in 20 degree weather.
We finally finished at 2am and my lips are still bleeding from the wind burn and everything still hurts from the knees up.
Worst pain though was probably when I had stomach issues while stationed in Germany. On a flight back, I spent the last four hours feeling like I had a giant air bubble in my intestines.

I got shot in the head with a BB gun in 5th grade. It went over an inch in my brain. Pretty bad pain after the surgery, surprisingly did not hurt up to that point.
Worst pain though, would be a tooth ache awhile back. Tooth aches hurt like helllllllllllll...
