This.

Congrats....you got the government to force a restaurant to serve you food. Enjoy your fart-salad and spit-sandwich.

it got this far because of extremely conservative social groups pushing it. same as arizona. unconstitutional but still makes the state look backwards

This would make sense.

Government should get out of marriage entirely. The courts should honor a contract between 2 people when it comes to property...married or not.

Leave marriage to the churches. Everyone files taxes independently and no special filing for married couples. There, now everyone would be equal under the law.

but if chickfila refused service to someone because they are gay, that is very stupid and should be illegal imo

Why use a specific company in a hypothetical which insinuates that's what they're doing?

That's what pisses me off about that whole Chickfila deal. For some reason, there's a public perception that the he said he didn't want to serve homosexuals. All he said was he just didn't agree with homosexuality......which is fine.

He never said he'd turn away their money. This is case in point why you don't need government intervention in this.

why should we stop business from hurting themselves? you don't think a gay friendly grocery store would pop up and smash all the others?

If you expect the Govt. to force places to do business with certain individuals, then we might as well let the Govt. force force us to patronize certain businesses.

That's only fair, right?

like banks
if the bank wants to work without federal protection then sure discriminate all they want, however banks without fdic protection aren't going to do so hot.

clubs sure as hell should and do discriminate if they feel like it.

restaurants, sure why not, no one forces you to go out to that place.

apartment complexes should be able to as long as they don't allow section 8 housing. if they want the easy gov money then they follow the rules

Well, he also gave a lot of money to a couple of very anti-gay groups.

I think the government should shut down the entire private sector and create government-run companies that all people are forced to do business with.

That's the only right way to do things, right? Completely do away with discrimination.

I don't think you want them to start making the tax code simple like that. Then you put industries that get nice tax breaks in danger of reform as well.

The Government should tell us all what to consume, to make sure that we don't get more than any other person.

They should control the production, consumption, prices and our wages too. We must all be exactly equal and bow down to Big Government since they know what is best for us.

Not that i agree with it but private businesses should have every right to refuse service to people they don't want to do business with.

Of course it is. Just pointing it out that the outcry towards Chick Fil A wasn't simply because he was against gay marriage.

Alright. Then we're all within our rights to stop buying Chik-fil-a.
