You haven't traveled much have you?

There are ignorant morons in every state, the bigger the state, the more of them there are.

I have seen people in Connecticut that look like they are straight out of Deliverance...and don't get me started about fricking New Yorkers...

The highest portions racist,

I've lived all across the US and this is a myth in my experience.

The most segregated and racist place I have ever lived in my life is not Alabama or any other south states I've lived in. It's actually....the Bay Area California. The place that people consider the least racist place.

If you go to the Bay area you will see less black people than you will in any southern state. However, if you go to east bay, aka Oakland, you will see what looks like your average southern city racially. About 32% black people. Where as San Jose/San Fransisco and those little areas will have about 2-4% black folks. The entire state average is only 6%.

They do it with economics. They can't afford to live on the west side of the bay.

Truth is, they deal with race worse than the south. And even so called liberals are racist as frick too. They hear "Oh you're from Alabama?" and suddenly it's like they finally get to unload their racists confessions like I'm some kind of preacher - I always thought it funny how ignorant racists also automatically assume me being from the south, I must be as well.

I remember one day I was trying to check into a hotel room in San Fransisco. There was a group of younger black folks in front of me. I could hear the price they were getting, nearly $200 for 1 night. I was like frick, that's damn expensive. About that time, another guy walks up to the desk to take care of me. I walk over. He does not tell me a price, instead he writes down a number under $100 and I agree(What am I gonna do, demand to pay more?).

In Alabama I more often heard racial slurs from ignorant people. In California, I watched systematic racism and segregation.

California hates black people.

They love Asians though. That and Mexicans is how they get their so called great "racial diversity stats. But again with the Mexicans you'll find a lot of them in Oakland and so on. Economics again. Asians are usually not poor, other than Vietnamese, who seem to be treated poorly by other Asians.

Now is that by your own actual personal experience or that just your opinion on what you have been told or read or watched?
That is important because we can only really go by our own actual personal experience. Anything else is just conjecture on our part.

I say that because in my own personal experience, in my previous career, my immediate supervisor for twenty years was a black man. Guess what? We got along fine. Racism never came into play in all those years. We disagreed on things but it was never personal and we each respected the other. He valued my input and I always knew he was the boss. The church I attend has white, Black , Hispanic, Vietnamese, Filipinos etc. and everybody gets along fine. Same with a KC Council I belong to. We have all the above as members and “oh the horrors, we get along well” . Don’t always agree on matters but the fellowship is great and disagreements are never personal.

I live in MS but I traveled all over the country and I can tell you race relations are much better here than in any other state. Not perfect by any means and there are still racist people but the number has diminished significantly over the last 60 years.

For black people today, racism is not the problem, failure of the family and not taking advantage of educational and economic opportunities is the biggest problem. Too many single parent families. Drug and gang influence has hold a segment of the population and as such a number of youth disdain educational opportunities in favor of a life of crime, laziness etc.

Now these are problems in the white, Hispanic. Asian Communities as well but the black population suffers more proportionately.
Which is sad because I see so much potential in young black kids today that is not being realized.

It’s the same in Portland. That being said, everyone here has white savior complex. I find it degrading.

I've lived in the south my whole life, and I had never seen the type of blatant extreme racism I saw in one short visit to California.

Florida you have a lot of people who keep beach bodies year round which is very nice to see near beach towns.

The center of Florida and North Florida is just as fat as any other part of the country. Just evens out in places like Cocoa Beach and Daytona where every girl keeps their shite together cause they know any day is beach day.

Yeah... No. MS is still the worst state in the US. Many parts of LA and AL may as well be MS, but at least there's some redeeming aspects to other areas of those states.

Depends .
NYC is not that

I’ve lived in NC (born and raised) SC and now NYC

My perception may be skewed because of what I do here, but like NYC more than my other two last places
