I remember thinking how much my Tacoma cost 10 years ago.. now 237k miles later I've decided I'm just gonna keep it forever.

Any suggestions or experiences with these trucks.
I have a Colorado. I just couldn't pull the trigger on a Tacoma for 35K. I paid $20,580 for a 2016 Colorado WT Extended Cab 4 cylinder last October. I just wanted a basic truck as my daily driver. No issues with mine so far.
If I needed a real truck I would go full size.

Sounds like it just got broke in real good. Heck, you prob. can still get 10K out of it.

Thats not bad for a basic truck. The local Chevy dealer where I live has some 2017 Colorado's LT (crew cab) listed for 28,500. They are the 4 cylinder though.

I can only offer a couple pieces of info on mid-size trucks.
My girlfriend drives probably a 10 year old Dakota 4 door. It's a great truck, I'd get one, but I need a good gas mileage vehicle to offset the terrible mileage on my toy jeep.
My dad bought a brand new TRD Tacoma in 2010 - 2010 model. He paid 26k out the door. He drove it for almost 6 years, put 50k miles on it, and then traded it in for a brand new platinum F150. The dealer gave him 26k credit on his Tacoma.
Quite possibly, the only vehicle that has a more absurd resale market than the Tacoma is the McLaren F1.

Also, if you're not dead-set on a new vehicle, I'd consider one of these:
I owned a 2004 with the 4.7 cam, and selling it was probably the worst decision I've ever made with a vehicle. I sold mine with 140k miles. My buddy bought one a few months after I got mine and he's staring at 280k right now. That might be the best engine Toyota has ever made.

Couldn't get the Tacoma payments where I wanted them but I'm looking at a used 2015 Ford F-150 Crew cab XLT with the 2.7 eco-boost engine. Truck has 19,900 miles on it and they want around 30K for it. Truck is a local one owner, very clean, and it was serviced at the proper intervals. Several questions here....
1. Does that seem too much or right on par?
2. Has anybody owned one with the 2.7? If so, how is the performance and towing?
3. Has does the value of a F-150 hold up Chevy, Dodge, Toyota full size trucks?

I paid 32k for my 2013 GMC sierra 2500hd SLE with 17 miles on it, it was the extended cab z71 yes the rebates were fantanstic but im sure you can find good rebates on fords as well usually around August-December rebates get better

Resale on a Toyota would be much better a few years down the road. No complaints on my 2004.

Will a mid-size truck look proportional with your current set of truck nuts? You will probably have to get a smaller set.

I'm driving a 2016 Toyota Tacoma SR5. Love it. Decent gas mileage and comfortable enough for long trips. Got 2 car seats in the back too.

Tacoma, hands down. Got my first one back in 2010, it was an 06 with 50k miles on it, bought it for $12,000. Added a couple things over the years (new sound system, exhaust, etc), drove it for 85K miles, and sold it in November of '15 for $12,500. They're excellent vehicles.
Only reason I sold it was to get one of the new models. I've got 45K on my '16, no problems to speak of.
