Well, hopefully you mature into an adult in your 30's, unlike most millennials. Good luck to you.

It's not so bad. You can still get drunk and do blow with your buddies. If that's your thing.

Wait, you're 29 and your handle is "olddawg"? Good lord man.

You're only as old as the woman you feel.

Maybe the passage into my 30s was a big deal, but it's hard to recall. I'll be 67 in October if I don't die between now and then.
And truth be told, I don't give a shite. That may be the one and only thing to look forward to as you age: there comes a point where you no longer give a shite about anything but today.
It's a liberating experience.
Anyway 29 dude, here's my advice: stop giving a shite about getting older RIGHT THIS MINUTE. Who knows, maybe you'll even grow happier as you grow older. That'd be pretty cool, amirate?

Stop whining, dammit. Other than college what I remember most about my 20's was working my butt off but not qualifying for a credit card (yeah, I know, that seems inconceivable today). 30's were WAY better in every way. Best shape of my life, better job, much better pay.
Hope you're out getting plastered to celebrate.

I find that once you reach your late 30s-40s that while you may not be as firm, toned, thin, energetic as you once were, other things are so much better.
You know exactly who you are, you know who your true friends are, and you appreciate and enjoy things that you used to take for granted.
Also, you really and truly don't give a frick about what others think of you and are comfortable in your own skin and doing whatever makes you happy even if other people look down on you.
In my 20s I used to worry about skipping out on some dumb Junior League function because other women might judge me for it. Now, if I want to spend a Friday night in my PJs watching Netflix and cuddling with my dogs, I do it and those busybody bitches can get bent.
In my 20s I wouldn't go to the store without being dressed up and in full make up. Now, I go in my yoga pants and sweatshirt and no make up and I don't even think twice.
I still take pride in my appearance and work hard at staying fit but I do for me - not so other people won't think badly of me. But I also do it when I want to, not when I'm "supposed to".
I've been out of town in New Orleans all week for a national meeting and flew home this afternoon. I was supposed to go to some silent auction charity thing tonight but I was busted arse tired and didn't feel like getting gussied up and being social after a long week, so I didn't go. In my 20s, I would have worried about what people would say if I didn't go - today I just called the host and told her why I wasn't coming and that was that.
Don't dread your 30s - embrace them and celebrate your earned maturity.

I just turned 25 and it made me depressed. I don't like going to a bar and most people being younger than me
