Its a lot of people who think "its" is the same as saying "there is" these days.

Or "there are".
I think this is the most annoying recent language phenomenon.
From whence came this? Prison?

Ignorance, convenience, laziness, a combination of the three?

It's a bunch of ignorant arse people in this world.
I hate when people eliminate "to be." For example, "He needs trained" or "My car needs repaired."

"Should OF" instead of "should HAVE" makes my flesh crawl. Seriously. It makes me want to donkey-punch the offender.

I don't fit into many homeschool stereotypes, but DAMN it, shitty grammar irks me like nothing else in this world.

Couple of my pet peeves
"We had went..."
And a regional thing here in St. Louis where they pronounce "mostaccioli" as "muskacholley."

Bad grammar is the language equivalent of littering.
I cringe.
I will admit to throwing a "wuddnt" as in, "Who ate the last of the mostaciolli?" "Iowno, wuddnt me."
Apart from that, my grammar is Ross-from-Friends-like. "There is nothing wrong with speaking correctly."
I occasionally use "axe" ironically.

Improper written grammar bothers me more than the spoken word.
Not in an informal forum like this, or when texting/tweeting or something, but on more official stuff, it matters to me.
For instance, one of my sergeants spelled the word, "label," "lable," in turnover this week, and I had a conniption

An extremely commonly misused word which seems particularly prevalent on sports message boards is the use of "dribble" in place of "drivel".
"I'm not going to read that dribble". I think this one pisses me off because it seems as if it has gained legitemacy in this usage, the same way Alanis changed the meaning and usage of the word "ironic" (that count bitch).
[Edited for egregious grammatical mistakes.]

Agree. The improper uses and spellings of common turns of phrase MUST be stopped post haste.
