Why can't the answer be that God created this wonderfully complex program called the Universe and all we see and know are just parts of his programming at work?

Answers need explinations.. You know that.

I'll wait until transitional fossils are found in droves, and only then will I begin to consider evolution somewhat valid. After all, Darwin him self said we should be tripping over these transitional fossils if his theory is true.

If you really think about all the miracles of life. It's almost impossible not to believe in a higher power.

But who taught god programming?

Its just his programming. Just think of him as the greatest computer programmer and that our lives are derivatives of the matrix he created

Does he recommend Java or C++?

And that defines Intelligent Design. There's nothing more to say, research or contemplate. It's a belief and you can accept it if it makes you feel better. However, don't try to supplant science with it.

More people would be happier about science if they could take your view, IMO. Science is exploration of the natural world. It's that simple.
Religion is exploration of what believers think of as a spiritual world. It's that simple.

IMO we are too complex of creatures not to have a designer.

Madonna is exploration in a material world.

It can be but in terms of what we teach in school we have to go with more fact and less philosophy. You ask and give a philosophical question and in religious studies and philosophy classes it would discussed and built upon. In a science class, a question/answer like that doesn't belong. However, a person can embrace both evolution as well as your philosophical view of the world.

He's left an awful lot of bugs in his program, then...

You don't believe in evolution? How old are you?
