Biden is for gun control and more money in more people's pockets is a good thing.

1. We have enough gun laws. Enforce those before making more, or is Hunter going to have to pony up for his?

2. I fully understand a need for social programs to help people. Help shouldn't be a life goal. The tuition debt doesn't just disappear, it comes from our tax dollars. Tax dollars from persons which did or did NOT go to college will be paying for someone else who did. That isn't more money in more persons pockets, it IS redistribution of wealth and it IS thievery.

But the next time Biden gives a shite about the American public will be the first.

Most people older than 40 paid their student loans. Also took classes that would lead to paying jobs.

They also paid reasonable tuitions.

As I posted before, in the late 90's UGA was 1/4th the cost it is today for tuition. Tuitions ballooned in the mid 2000's across the country. Paying 2500 a year for tuition in 1999 was a much easier debt to pay than 12,000 dollars a year for tuition today (using UGA in-state costs for the example). And UGA is an inexpensive example.

There's a reason you're right about 40's though. People in their 30's were on the wrong side of the explosion in the costs of education.

I don’t think anybody thinks college is reasonably priced today

I think there's a decent percentage who don't realize how much college prices have exploded in the last 20 years. Those that have a reason to look at the numbers would all agree it's not reasonably priced.

But when people say "I paid my way through college", they are showing they don't realize the difference is prices today compared to when they went to school.

I got my time at UGA paid for through academic scholarships. My wife paid her own way by babysitting. The reality is that pay for college age people hasn't increased very much at all while prices have quadrupled.

I don't really agree with student loan forgiveness. But when I see the whole "I paid my way", I feel that those people need their eyes opened to some degree. They're working with an incorrect view of reality when it comes to the price of college today.

I thought you hate politics on a sports board?

I'm beginning to question your sincerity.

I agree we should enforce our gun laws and I'm not against legal citizens owning a gun but not assault weapons. No one needs them.

While I disagree with the latter part, I do respect your opinion. Everyone should have a say in our tax money.

We desperately need educational reform, especially when it comes to upper education, such as college. I would rather Biden subsidize education for those in the medical field, education, such as teachers, and science.

Why do you define what that is first. Or are you just regurgitating your liberal news sources?

I seconded the post saying this should be moved to the political board. The rest of my posts aren't about politics, but rather the facts of the cost of education at colleges today.

Is that too nuanced for you to understand? You're a UGA grad (I assume). You should be able to figure that out. We're pretty bright.

Typical conservative talking point to change the subject of the issue. I think we all know what assault weapons are by now. That goes without saying.

the richest 0.5 percent of the world want to sit back in their villas in New Zealand, Monaco, Riveria, Switzerland, etc, and watch on TV as the normal people of the world kill each other in a World Civil War

They want racial division

They want crime cartels crossing borders while simultaneously attempting to take guns away from the legal citizens within those borders

They've sat back and laughed and applauded as the people of Africa have slaughtered each other for decades, and now they want to plug that gameplan into every continent

Black Sabbath I think said that war is the ultimate Satanism

Before questioning Joe Law Abiding CITIZEN’S ownership of an “assault weapon”, question why an IRS agent needs one.

Please define “assault weapon”… you’ll be the first to do so. If the gun control advocates can’t agree on what constitutes an assault weapon, what do they wish to regulate?

We DO need education reform. So without reform, what does student loan “forgiveness” accomplish? It accomplishes an attempt to buy votes at taxpayer expense. Unless the lending practices are reeled in, particularly interest rates, nothing is corrected. It becomes the same thing year after year. Here’s a fix… how about prime +1%?? If you decide a degree in gender fluidity is right for you, have at it, but be prepared to repay the loan or face the consequences of default.

BTW… it isn’t for hunting. It’s because there would be a rifle behind every blade of grass. Or because the 2A intends for the citizenry to be as well armed as those who would come against the nation. Or because I can without someone’s approval.

And, no child can reach it. You can’t get to it without the combination which only three people have. You won’t know where it is because it isn’t an obvious gun safe.
